ULTRAMAN SAGA - Rumors and Pictures

Thanks Again, Oku!

Cosmos' bio only mention things we already known, like Musashi's dream of a peaceful monster planet and the "Musashi" who made a cameo in UGL is not the "real one."

For Asuka:

The man who became a legend-- Shin Asuka

The one who stands out and fight for the peace of earth is a legacy hero whose name is Asuka. He has traveled different universes, and even fought side by side with Ultra Brothers in M78 Nebula before. Asuka was summoned to this suffering world and he had to face a very harsh destiny...

Thanks for the translation!

But, doesn't this confuse things? I mean, if it wasn't the real Musashi in Legend, then who was it? And yet, it was the real Shin in both Legend and Saga? I guess we'll just have to wait until the movie comes out for a full explanation.

I thought it was pretty obvious it was an alternate universe version of Musashi in Legends. Just a little something they put in for the fans of the series.

i guess it is true Shin in Legend and Saga because he wear the same Suit after his series into Legend and then Saga. And mean he became Legends is he already pass through from another Universe to another Universe like Zero did in his movie....

Generally speaking, movie producers don't waste money on plot elements/characters that they're not planning to use. Musashi's appearance in UGL only makes sense if it had been originally planned that he/Cosmos would've rescued the Space Pendragon crew, then guided them to the Graveyard. Or, it was a way of indicating that they were gradually merging the Ultras into the classic Showa Universe.

Now this time, it does look like he/Cosmos will have a substantial role to play in this new movie. But, I have to wonder, with this construction of yet another bubble Alternative Universe, as well as a new Ultraman, are they getting ready to try a new series set in this universe, assuming Saga does well at the box office?

Whatever the reason, I'm glad that they're going all-out to get new fans of the show in the theaters, with the casting of Daigo Stardust and AKB48 in this movie. As well as keeping the traditional fans with casting Takeshi Tsuruno and Taiya Sugira in the movie.

Dude it was just a bit of fan service. They get a lot of the actors that been on their shows to do little cameos for their shows and movies all the time. Just ths one time the decided to have the guy play a different character with the same name. It's the same reason why Max, Great, Powered and the animated Ultras had cameos in Ultra Galaxy, they're from totally different univerese but they're in as a "Hey look who they put in the movie" bit as the fans.
