ULTRAMAN SAGA - Rumors and Pictures

I must say, as a fan of both, the song has grown on me actually. Still, they will deliver the big trailer soon enough. These clips of Team U are promising though. With Zero as a focus in the past few movies, we haven't really gotten as big of emphasis on the human teams (With the exception of Zap Spacy in Mega Monster Battle). I'm excited for how Hasegawa handles Sayaka and co.

Simply put, it's about time that Ultraman got back to its roots. It had always been a show about a human paramilitary monster-fighting team that protects the world - and has a big guy who can be called in to do the heavy lifting when all else fails.

More importantly, it was, and always has been about hope, and miracles, and doing the right thing - no matter the cost. But lately, it had gotten to be about darkness, despair, - and death. Even worse, it degenerated into endless fighting, or who was the most powerful warrior, rather than focusing on a race of protectors.

It was not an accident that the most successful Ultraman series/movies were about hope in the future, optimism, and the courage to face the Unknown, not trying to destroy it, or flee from it. And, it wasn't an accident that the Ultraman series/movies who turned away from that had the least amount of success.

Hopefully, Saga will turn that around.

...did you actually WATCH Ultraman Zero the Movie? 0_o

that will be great if Ultraman Saga theme song will be Dream Fighter or Destiny Star or Only You Wish To Protect... but AKB48 that get the chance to make movie theme song:disappoin:disappoin

Zord Riders

In the newest promo from Tsuburaya, did anyone else notice that several members of Team U were riding on top of the the flying zords? :buttrock::buttrock:

Also, it's quite interesting that they're having to forage in the abandoned city for various supplies ...

Reminder: Retsuden will be airing the introductions of Ultraman Jack, Hideki Goh*, and Earthtron on Wednesday.

*For some reason, the M-78 blog lists Hideki Goh's name as Hideki Sato. Anybody know why?

WOW, yeah, no kidding, Daikamonohashi, this guy must have had his eyes shut through most of the last 4 years.
I guess SUPER 8 ULTRA BROTHERS wasn't about rediscovering the dreams that Ultraman inspired in us as children to make a brighter future for tomorrow. ULTRA GALAXY LEGENDS definitely wasn't about overcoming an evil warlord and safeguarding the future of the universe through teamwork. I sure must have just projected all of that power of friendship that flooded ULTRAMAN ZERO: THE MOVIE. And I'm absolutely certain that ULTRAMAN SAGA won't be about protecting Earth's future by keeping its children safe.

NO, of course not. Ultraman's now NOTHING but HATE AND RAGE AND VIOLENCE AND METAL :castlerock:

</sarcasm>

The cover for Monthly Heroes(The magazine where the new Ultraman manga is being serialized) features Saga on the cover. The magazine have a collaboration with AKB48, who cosplay and promotes the character in their magazine. So I guess AKB48 is promoting Ultraman in more than one way.

Then again, considering this issue coincides with the main character of the Ultraman manga finally becoming Ultraman, it make sense.
