Ultraman Ginga: New Ultraman Retsuden - Pre-Discussion

So I finally watched episodes 1-4 last night, and I'm kinda loving this show. Its nice to have a series thats a little more playful and I think the episodic story format is REALLY working in its favor. I'm super psyched to see how this series proceeds!

I feel I have judged it way too harshly on it, but its pretty good. Just wished it would smooth things over story wise and make the villains more threatening. Wish the cops were involved in the show more as well and there was a change in scenery once in a while.

Right now everything is so isolated in the mountains that if anyone from the city saw a monster, nobody would believe him/her. At the same time this is a world where no one knows what an Ultraman is. Thus it's easy pickings for the Dark Spark user.

Uh, guys, discussion about episodes that have aired should go in the other thread in the main section. Just saying. And that thread is almost pitifully low on the number of posters.

I don't know if everybody has seen this already but, found this at an /m/ archive:

Dark form for Ultraman Hayata? Honestly it's kind of lame to do this yet again in such a short series. Tiga Dark at least had precedence. [/hide]

You can see something similar on one of the DVD/Blu-ray covers too, actually.

It now comes down to where the only one ones who can defeat Ginga are Ultramen themselves. especially since the enemy used both Tiga Dark & Dark Zagi.

Judging by the blu-ray cover, he would be possessing Ultra Seven as well.

Are you sure that's Belial and not the Darkness Spark?

Anyone can tell us what the text says? I think the big red letters say Ginga, but I can't tell what the black katakana right next to "Ultraman" is.

Well to be honest I'm just going by how Ultraman looks but given that Belial is set to appear its at least likely that's what's going on.

Ultraman Da- and that's it. Ultraman Darkness, maybe?

It does look like the same colour scheme as when Belial possessed Zero in the second Ultra Fight specials, but that doesn't necessary mean it's him using the Darkness Spark.
