It's still so weird to hear the new VA for Mebius with his deep voice, and then during the fights they revert to the higher pitched grunts that I presume are from his original actor. But I guess that's how it's gotta be when that original actor has left the biz. :/
Loved the big fight but it's kinda amusing how they tell Z he's still not trained enough when he's clearly a more competent fighter than Grigio who is just accepted as a fully fledged Ultrawoman.
So did they debut a new form for Zero here? Because I don't recall Shining Ultimate Zero.
Technically yes, but it's very low effort.
Ultimate Zero is his normal suit but with torso armour and a sword/lance thing attached to his forearm.
Shining Zero was a different suit that was entirely grey/silver with gold detailing.
This new form, Ultimate Shining Zero, takes the torso armor and sword from Ultimate and puts it onto the Shining suit.
So it's entirely pieces that they had hanging around anyway (although I guess I don't know how they attach so perhaps some modification was required?).
It's pretty much a running gag at this point how often Zero gets a new form. Someone on twitter pointed out that it seems to be every time Koichi Sakamoto directs him in something, but I don't know if that's true and/or intentional.
Seeing Zero with the Z-Riser, is it called that yet at this point.
The voice drama that aired alongside Ultraman Z had an episode where Zero tells Z that he should join the team testing Hikari's latest invention, and Zero specifically notes that if Z does a good job then Hikari might name the new device after him. So I guess it is the Z-Riser even if Z hasn't taken posession of it yet?
