This is actually mentioned on the wikipedia page for Gavan, so I'd say this fact has some backing.

Pretty nifty, though. The similarities between them (as far as costume design is concerned) are astounding! Gavan and RoboCop are both awesome! :buttrock:

It's just the suit design that was inspired by Gavan.

Actually, I'm thinking Zaido might be kinda neat. At best it'll be something well worth watching, at worst it'll be like some Indie toku, which I love and find worth watching too.:thumbs:

Oh yeah, they're calling Robocop "Uchuu Keiji" yet I see no footage of him in space. False advertising! I would have rotoscoped one of those shot where he's flying and stuck a starfield behind him. Well if I wasn't lazy anyway, plus that **** is hard. ^_^; Anyway...

Robocop was based on Gavan but wasn't Kidou Keiji Jiban also inspired by Robocop too?
