TOONAMI RETURNS!!

I loved Megas XLR, I'm still angry it never got a season 3.

Same with Symbionic Titan

I have no problem with Megas XLR being canceled. I loved it, but that show was a comedy, a satire on giant mecha shows. It was never meant to be taken seriously, and I doubt there was much of a final resolution planned for it. Symbionic Titan, on the other hand, definitely should have continued. It was a serious show that had so much potential, and the story was definitely going somewhere. I feel robbed knowing that we'll never know how the story and the show was suppose to end.

That wouldn't work, especially not on Toonami. Maybe some other network, but even then, it'd probably fail, considering we have such a hangup over subs vs. dubs, especially when it comes to live action.

I still say that arguments like this are purely subjective. Live action dubbing, while impossible to perfect in the same way as dubbing cartoons, has come a long way over the years and has vastly improved, when done by the right companies and the right people. Whether Super Sentai would do well or not in our market is hard to say, but until Saban is willing to give it a chance, we'll never know. And that's what it all boils down to. Giving it a chance, and if the property owners in the US are willing to take that chance.

On a channel like Cartoon Network, I will say that the only way to promote something like Tokusatsu or anything Live Action from Japan would be to dub it. It's the same argument for anime, an English dub will just have a wider appeal, especially if the target audience is kids, teens, and maybe adults who want to broaden their horizons and try out different kinds of programming. And if they want the subs, then hopefully there will be bilingual DVDs or some kind of second option out there for them. However, the show will fail if the dub is terrible, because interest in it will then fall fast, no matter how well it is promoted. It would be as weird as that one ninja puppet TV show Cartoon Network had for while but got canceled.

But I doubt ANYONE will want to sit down and read tons of subtitles on something like the Cartoon Network. So really, it's either give it the best dub possible, or don't even bother giving it a shot. And if we can get the rights to the English dubs from the Philippines or wherever, that's fine too. So long as that English dub is the best dub we can hope for and fits all the requirements that the network has and so on. Which is why, if there are any problems, I said that it might be easier to just make our own English dub here in America.

Not a bad choice of shows to start things off. I am guessing they are just easing into it for now.

Also, I just knew Bleach would be part of Toonami. It was unavoidable.

Not gonna lie... I'm disappointed that they're not bringing back Gundam Wing or DBZ...

Will still tune in for Casshern though.

I knew it, it the same Saturday adult swim anime lineup flavor just covered with toonami that all. What the point of bring back toonami? I hope that this lineup is just a coverup for something special.:sly:

I really want Moltar, Tom 1 (Sonny Strait) and Tom 4 (Steve Blum) share the spot light. Moltar should bring Brak and Zorak...Sara I and II should appear ala Andromeda

Just call them Team Toonami / Team Absolution or something.

If they do a Tom V...I dunno. Field interviewer who interviews "new" members of the Toonami Family.
>:(

NO!

So Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland are what the new anime they're introducing now, huh?

Well......it's a start heh
