For some reason, I stopped watching Gekiranger for one reason only: God, I never knew some of the characters have absolutely small-minded personalities, with Rio having the 'Angry Emo' personality, complete with unintentional funny faces (oh come on, you have to admit the way he expresses are funny, even though it's meant to be serious) and bishounen hair that you would usually find in Shoujo anime and manga. I mean, I'm sorry, but despite the cool character designs that the MOTWs have, their peronalities seem to be lost, with one MOTW going "Oh yeah, let's destroy the Gekiranger and then the world (i.e. Japan)" and the other going "Grr, me want to destroy Gekiranger for no good reason whatsoever". Even Mele just gets on my nerves by just going "I love Rio-sama and if anyone of you Gekirangers that like to hurt my love one, I'll kill you" in way and Bae was the last straw as I turned off continue watching the rest of the series with the MOTW vs. GekiTouja/GekiRinTouja/ETC fight commentary.

You really should give Gekiranger another chance, it's an amazing series. Lately things have been getting better and better, especially since Gou / Geki Violet was introduced. As much as I like Den-O, I personally like Gekiranger a lot more at the moment.

Starfish Hitler! Man, I don't think we'll ever get any crazy ass designs like that again. Though it would be weird seeing modern day versions (Starfish Hussein anyone?)

Gekiranger got some amazing monster design. It's refreshing after the general ugliness of Boukenger ><

and I prefer Imagins to Worms. At least they got a personality.
