Yeh, I'm downloading it now. Half of it is cuz I'm a huge Tekken fan, half of it is cuz I sometimes enjoy watching utterly shitty movies. And from the looks of it, its pretty shitty. I mean, each character in the game has a specific style of fighting and characteristics that set them apart. In these fights, the only one that seemed true to the game was Eddy Gordo, and thats only cuz Lateef Crowder specializes in Capoeira. I'm surprised Marshall Law didnt even show a bit of Bruce Lee in his moves. That was very disappointing. The guy playing Jin is alright, i guess, nothing special really. man, they even got Miguel wrong. How do you do that? Also, why is he in the movie? he's a very recent addition and pretty much a side character. Man, can't WAIT to see what else they screw up in this movie.

The really sad thing is that a lot of the actors in this movie are competent martial artists that have just been horrendously wasted by poor action direction. For the casual action fan who has a hard time distinguishing the importance of proper attention to detail when it comes to fight choreography, this is like a textbook lesson on what not to do; neither the skills of the cast nor the traits of the characters themselves are taken into consideration and what you get as a result is bland, interchangable chop socky nonsense. Jon Foo, for instance. I like the guy, but they relegated his role in this movie to wallflips and 540s. There wasn't even a semblance of the kind of style that makes Jin stand out amongst other Tekken characters. Same goes for the rest of the characters: no individual identity, just a jumble of flashy kicks and bad handwork. The only one they got sort of right was Eddy, and, like Takumi said, that's mainly because Lateef's amazing skills keep even the most bland choreo from becoming too stagnant. Still, I've never seen Capoeira so mischoreographed.

The rest of the cast is just wrong. I like Cung Le as a fighter but the guy can't screenfight to save his career (obviously), and whoever's idea it was to cast Roger Huerta as Miguel should have their uvula chopped off. I'm also pretty sure that the woman playing Jun was the worst actress I've ever seen.
