I wonder what Toei is planning with this though. They obviously will want to throw in Faiz's suit, or even in his actor in future crossovers, so killing him off sounds really odd. And they also just killed off Rider 3 after all this marketing promotion too.

Now, you could say that they could always disregard all that, but they haven't really done that ever since we started getting crossovers with Decade/W. The only examples would be from earlier series and even in those cases it was always ambiguous or not really death.

It is indeed intriguing as to what they're doing here. They're legit killing off the main Rider of the series, and with the original actor and all that. Also Kaido I believe dies as well (gets killed by Crimson Smash)? Seems like they're finishing Faiz as a series and giving it a 'real' ending as opposed to the open ending given in the original series. I suppose it'll be hard to get the actor back again for a third movie anyway. Plus I think they'll be looking for other returning actors (for example the rumoured Agito crew for the summer movie). I'm glad at least these movies have some sort of plot and meaning to them, rather than just 'hey let's get the guys back, fight for 10 minutes and pretend nothing happened'. I do find it funny how the whole thing called Kamen Rider YONGO really is 'Kamen Rider 555 Epilogue'.

Takumi wasn't aware he was 'dead' already (well he is cos' he is an Orphenoch after all, but you know what I mean). Originally it was thought that it was Kiriko's strong feelings about Go and Shinnosuke's death making the time loop. But it turns out that it was Takumi's wish of not wanting to sacrificing any more people that was the root of the problem. So once he was dead the time looping stopped. Incidentally the clocked turned from 4/4 to 5th April, which is today and finally Drive gets a new episode after the 2 week break!

Exactly. We could just ignore this? Haha.

To me Kamen Rider Taisen may be canon since it was meant to be a continuation of each of the returning character's story.

But honestly, I don't there's much point in arguing about continuity in Kamen Rider :laugh:

Anyway, I feel like Superhero Taisen GP should've been focused on Faiz and the Blade Riders instead of doing a ridiculous story about Kamen Rider 3. A continuation of Blade with a tablespoon of Faiz and Drive would've been amazing.

Because the history changing machine changes... history? It doesn't contradict his previous appearances. Weren't people complaining about how Faiz's foreshadowing was getting ignored? Now that they actually bothered making an explanation for that.

It sounds like the effects of the machine were felt since Decade. Especially when some of the Heisei Riders retired after their series ended.
