Showa vs. Heisei: Ultraman

Both are great, Ultraman set the standard for Toku heroes after the 60s! I still have to go with Heisei, I know this a Kamen Rider-ish forum, but you have to admit that Ultraman in the past couple years has been a phenomenon. The first three were classics as well, especially Gaia. Very original! The action was supreme and made Toku good again. They credit those three series with revitalizing general popularity in Toku heroes, why do you think Kuuga started right after :shrug:

I've never seen any Showa-era series but seen plenty of the Heisei-era so I'll go with Heisei Ultras.

Having lived in Japan during the Showa era... I have to go with that.
While I -do- like the heisei era stuff.... it just doesn't hold a candle to the more masculine Showa era actors.
