Blade Dancer
Not-So-Rabid Blade Fangirl
It's true, I can see how Jan would have been a whole lot more irritating than he was, depending on how he was played.
Yeeeaah. I remember reading that he would be a jungle boy with his own language and...whoacrap I really hated the idea of this character, but Suzuki really gave him an interesting spin and made him likable. It's true, I can see how Jan would have been a whole lot more irritating than he was, depending on how he was played.
Yeah, same here. So, I dunno, maybe I'm inclined to be forgiving? But while the show isn't perfect, there are some things about its writing style I find really interesting and admirable. It's a character-driven Super Sentai about characters I don't detest and it hits some other personal buttons, too.
Indeed. I stopped religiously watching after Deka. Since then I've done the first few eps, ranger debuts and the last few. Shinken is the first in awhile I've watched all the way through. BoukenRed was cool, but I disliked the rest of his crew.
Ryuu tended to very mushy-mushy and kept pining about Rie. I don't recall Takeru ever being that way.
 You cite a show with characters that were essentially non-entities?
There's a reason I never liked movies like Jungle Book and such. I don't really tend to do well with the whole "raised by animals" thing. But Jan made it cool.
Takeru on the other hand is just intrinsically a bad person.
He was still better than Takeru!
I think you really don't hate Takeru this much, the guy hasn't done anything to be hated. I think this is more of a you having a crush on the actor and knowing he isn't interested so you then proceed to take ur frustrations out in this thread.
