Radio Sentai Wavenger (RPG Thread)

Way back when Ethan first came to Japan, before the Wavengers were aassembled and before he had himself settled into a a semi-decent apartment, Ethan used to stay there at the station in a room that had been set up for him down in the hidden portions of the station. And thats exactly where Ethan was now, peacefully taking a nap while Dr. Kiryu and his techs watched the footage of today's fight with the Nazaan.

"It looks like the Sync Wave works pretty well, though the effect it has on the user does limit it quite a bit." one of them said after checking the data on both the suit's and Ethan's energy before and after using it.

"I feel that such a limitation would be beneficial." Kiryu said, leaving a rather confused look on the faces of the techs. "Such a limitation prevents them from totally relying on it, if they could use it anytime over and over again they would do just that and eventually their skills would suffer for it. " he explained to them, dispelling most of the confusion. "How are you progressing on the installation of Sync Wave compatability on the other Wave Scanners?"

"60% for WaveWhite's Scanner, 40% for Blue's, 20 on yellow's and we havent started green's yet." one of the techs answered. Due to Daisuke still not able to effeciently use his weapon yet there wasnt much priority on installing his Scanner with a Sync Wave reciever unsuprisingly. "Hopefully Ethan doesnt mind having to handle the Sync Wave attacks for at least a little while longer."

Though Akira tried to take a nap, she wasn't having much success and sat back up, a somewhat tired look on her face. Haa...guess I'm not used to resting here at the station... She noticed that Aelita was doing her show at the moment and her ears perked up a little at the music being played. "Haa...well, at least there are some good tunes playing..."

Now feeling slightly better, she focused her attention to her school assignments, since she did skip school today, and would rather get it done now instead of rushing to finish it before her show started.

As L’Arc~en~Ciel’s Daybreak faded in shortly after Tourbillion’s song, Aelita turn off the microphone for the next few minutes planning out the next day fresh selection and few classics, while swaying to the music. Already Aelita’s thoughts were filled with the possible letters/emails/calls from their listeners pouring in the next few days This lasted only for a moment longer till her eyes caught glimpse of the digital clock. Soon it would be Daisuke’s turn to take over the airwaves in a few more minutes and take Ethan back to his home.

Taking a moment rest Aelita started writing down a few personal favorites and ones she was sure the others would like as well. Adding to the music now playing is reminded how grateful to be paired with the others. They were truly the best friends one could ask for that treated her no differently. “Hmmm….A selection of Ethan and Akira is easy, but for Daisuke and Yuki…heheh…might need to do a little snooping to obtain thatinfo.â€

After Yuki finished his exercise routine, he decided he might as well try to plan out the next couple shows. Though normally he winged it, and he didn't care about ratings. "Hmm maybe I should comment on the press prying into people's personal lives." Yuki wondered as he paced around downstairs, he would of normally gone up to the break room and paced for ideas, but he was feeling somewhat bad for assuming that Akira wouldn't be there.

Pulling his cellphone from his pocket he decided to check his messages. "Only one, that's surprising." Yuki said before he proceeded to listen to the voicemail, it was from his mother, telling him that the past week there had been an unknown number of calls from his former coach, wanting to know where he was and that the press hasn't stopped calling.

Dialling his mom's number Yuki decided he'd return the call. "Moshi moshi, you've reached the phone of Aikawa Tsubaki, I'm not in at the moment so please leave a message." The voice on the other end said as Yuki waited for the beep.

"Hey, it's just me, returning your call. Just tell that coach that you don't know where I am, it is the truth after all, and if he asks tell him I have no interests of returning. I'd like to tell you about what I'm currently doing, but I can't be sure how secure the phones are." Yuki said before hanging up his cell, turning it off, and sliding it back into his pocket.

"If only he'd get that I'm not going to contact him any time soon." He said to himself as he headed towards the elevator to the main floor. "Well I might as well swing by the break room, and check the newspapers for some good subject ideas."

Arriving at the break room Yuki sat down and grabbed a newspaper, none of the headings really caught his eye. There was something about a bank robbery, another thing about some missing dogs or something like that, just the same old boring newspaper. "These things never have any good articles."

Daisuke felt weak as he kept lifting and lifting his weights and he knew that he had to be the strong man of the group, but yet he couldn't even lift his own weapon up. It was sad that Daisuke couldn't lift his axe up except for it to just fly out of his grasp. Daisuke then saw the time and that he had to hurry or else he would be fired. Daisuke ran from the gym, and rushed through the hallways getting to the broadcast room, and after taking Aelita's place he set up, and with a simple ok Daisuke was on air, and he practically shouted," Hello!!!! Everybody this is Daisuke Mitsuhide and you know that it is now time for Pop Update. Now for all you fan girls out there Takanori Nishikawa and the other Abingdon boys will be in the area because of their new tour along with Buck Tick, Back-on, and High and mighty color so I hope you all watch out and buy your tickets soon. Cause come on you know it's worth it."

Daisuke saw all his sheets were cluttered, and he then said," Well it's time to get the music started, and so here is the Abingon Boys School's new single Jap." Daisuke then had the song play and as he went off air he began to scan through all his papers and thought," Jeez this is just great." After about two and a half minutes the song was coming to a end and Daisuke then began to sing to the song while off air, and then without his knowing Daisuke had been put on air and was practically singing to all his listeners, and he said," Sorry folks I know Takinara is a lot better, but you know it's such a great song don't judge." Daisuke then went on talking about pop culture news.

Akira couldn't help but laugh slightly as Daisuke tried his hand at singing the new single he just played. Haa...Daisuke...it's ok...nothing wrong in singing along with a song you like...oh, if he's on, that means... That meant that it would be her turn after Daisuke. In preparation for this, she got out her notes for the night which contained info on the youkai she was going to talk about, and also on possible sightings.

Gotta keep everyone interested...Hmm...what's on the agenda for tonight? Akira flipped through her notes, highlighting what she would talk about for the night...

Hearing Daisuke’s rather passionate and energetic broadcast playing over the speakers, Aelita could not refrain from laughing merrily. It was more than great for him to be enthralled with pop culture and sharing his opinion to their vast listeners. What was even more rewarding that her friend had taken her advice if Daisuke come across a song that got him moving to the beat, don’t be afraid to sing it out or dance if you need too. That’s it Daisuke-san! Never lose sight of the confidence you have now and apply it in the future. Aelita nodded walking down the corridor with her notebook.

The light lavender-hair buxom beauty wanted say good evening and wish them best wishes on the air, before making her way to the room that Ethan was taking a power nap. Aelita’s first stop where Yuki would normally be found only to find him speaking with someone on the phone and opted not to interrupt. The next stop she rather…followed her nose sort-to-speak of the familiar highlighter pen that Akira used. Knocking lightly on the side of the wall politely to catch her friend’s attention.

“Just wanted to say goodnight and look forward to one of your tales, Akira-san. I know you’ll grab everyone’s attention onight.â€

As she was highlighting on what to go over for her show, the sound of a knock caused the teal-haired young woman to look in the direction of the sound. Smiling slightly at who it was, she held up a "V" sign with her fingers in response. "Thank you, Aelita-san. I appreciate your encouraging words, heh...I'll be sure to make a very interesting show like always tonight." She finished cheerfully, confident in herself and her abilities for the show to come.

"Have a safe trip back now, all right? Have a nice night, Aelita-san." She added.

After the intense training, and the fighting that had happened tonight along with Daisuke just finishing up his show then got up and walked out seeing Akira, and he said," Yea this must be the most embarrassing night for me." Daisuke then sighed as he blushed and then he said," Well I don't think my body can take any more training, but you have fun tonight Akira I'll listen to your show on the ride home." Daisuke then waved goodbye and went to his bike, and then put in his headsets and had his changer out which substituted as a radio as well, and he then turned the frequency to the station's and he road off towards his apartment listening to Akira's show.

“Hehehe…That goes double for you as well.†Aelita chuckled returning the very same gesture before leaving the teal-haired woman to finalizing her preparations for that evening broadcast. Afterwards Aelita wandered the corridors of the station aimlessly searching for Ethan nearly getting lost in the process. Though they had been only been working at the station for the past few months she would on rare occasions lost, which was rather embarrassing to say at least.

Having searched all the rooms accessible by everyone on the top portion of the station, Aelita brought her investigation down to the hidden portions of the station, not before making one side detour to pick up a cold drink from the vending machine. As she ventured further through the hidden portions, Aelita heard the faint conversation of those still working at this late of time. Who exactly, she was not certain, but knew that their work was very important and did not disturbed them.

The light lavender-hair woman soon came across her target in a room set up for relaxation from their duties. A smirk caress her face questioning rather to wake Ethan by pressing the cold can against his cheek or merely shake his shoulder. Much as the first option was tempting, she couldn’t bring herself to do that and opted for the latter.

“Ethan? Ethan, are you ready?†Aelita bend over shaking his shoulder lightly.
