Nope, it's the way you walk and the way to posture yourself that makes you look suspicious, no matter the color of the skin. If I were to wear a hoodie down over my eyes and walk around in a store, any store, an employee would ask if "i need anything" code language for "are you gonna steal , punk?" The way the kid was killed was wrong, don't get me on that, however to act as if perceptions on your clothes, your posture and attitude do not affect the overall situation? That's dumb.

Is it so hard to comprehend that what you wear clothes and how you wear it makes people perceive you in a certain fashion? So because a man of another "race" kills another person, it's automatically racist? If it was switched around, we would not be talking about it. This is mere race bait and nothing more .

In addition there was no evidence in the 9/11 calls that Zimmerman even uttered a racial term and I listened to it. He said punks.

I'm casting doubt and calling bullshit on this case and if they want to slander a man's name, try to. What he did was out of line, but to say he did it out of hate and play the race card? Let's investigate racism where it really is rather than over sparse questionable crap that has no base in reality.

Let's look at Hollywood's racism and why this didn't make the headlines at all until an uproar, shall we? That is where the racism really is if not isolate places and in those Black Panthers.

You also realize that for the "Stand your Ground law" it pretty much states the other person can defend themselves and doesn't have to run away. And as we've seen ,Zimmerman was beaten up by him according to a new witness.

So what I'm hearing is he should have taken the beating and done nothing to defend himself and died? Since we are looking at a do or die situation, it never ends well for the other, and just because someone is black means ****. Skin color meant nothing in this case and what does that mean really?

Assumptions always lead to devastation. I'll leave this thread to edit and retract the few things in my article that I wrote about this case.

There are more witnesses that are not some surprise anonymous witness that have said otherwise. Zimmerman taking a beating for a kid he had a good 150 pounds on is just straight up bullshit. That's not hard to figure out. They wouldn't need a witness as the cops that eventually showed up would have reported his supposed broken nose in the first place. Zimmerman wants to stay out of jail... that's all there is to it.

There are different kinds of racism.. some more subtle then others. My main problem with this isn't racism. It's people walking around with guns, feeling tough, and then innocent people having to pay the price with their lives so that some people for SOME REASON feel the need to carry something in their pocket that can end a life in one second.

I'm agree with you on this. Citizens should not have the right to carry guns. I know most do it with out a license but this guy did and now a boy is dead. You know if people stopped complaining about their second amendment rights a woke up this wouldn't have happened. Civilized societies don't need guns. They are tools to kill that are too easily accesible to the immature and the ill tempered. No good comes from them ever. There are other ways to defend yourself without guns. What's sad is that it's mostly not about that it's about stupid immature guys who want to prove they're tough. Beating a guy in a fist fight is tougher then shooting them and it wont land you in jail for life. Screw the N.R.A the second ammendment should be repealed.

There are a lot of people that are responsible gun owners that use them for hunting. They use gun safes and other means for safety. Are you saying they should not be allowed to have those guns for hunting? A lot of people using guns for safety as well. Yes there are some that take advantage of that, but there are people that use them for protection. You are aware that criminals would still get guns if you banned/outlawed them? Saying it would be harder for them to get them.. Remember prohibition? They outlawed alcohol. It was easy to get drunk during that time. You know it's about stupid immature guys who want to prove they are tough? Do you have any facts to back this up? You and keith are lumping all gun owners as idiots who only do it to hurt people. That's just ignorance.

What happened to this young boy is a travesty. The man that did this would have caused harm with a gun or with out. I will say I think we need stronger laws on who can get guns. More back ground checks, psych tests and the like. But not everyone who has a gun or will have a gun is a racist nut job out to hurt people NOR are they stupid immature guys proving how tough they are.

I'm sorry if my feelings and opinions annoy anyone. I just have to express what I think. I don't want to start any fights or have any bad feelings, so if anyone is really upset by me words here a mod can delete this if they want.

Hey, these guys can smile in pictures too, does that make them totally bee's knees human beings?

And no, the point of my post isn't to act like a jerk, but people shouldn't put a lot of stock in what's being presented in pictures one war or the other, and obviously that second picture is doing what the media is attempting to do by portraying the killer as the nice guy, doing that doesn't make what happened any less of a crime, fact is that a full grown man still killed a pretty scrawny kid. And while I do agree that thinking someone has a weapon makes even people as thing as sticks seem a little dangerous, I don't believe this guy couldn't have found another way out.
