FF4 Edward sucks

Edward, who is so useless that one of his ability, Hide, just straight-up removes him from battles while the rest of your team fights. Let me reiterate: his special power is to leave combat. So everyone else can handle things without him. Basically, Edward sucks.

You can level him up though so he can gain new skills. Try grinding on weaker enemies so you can make him stronger.

Edward is a great support character, he used to suck but he got amped up. His Bard songs are useful but they took so long to get ready which leaves him vulnerable to attacks. Also his Hide skill was a good combo with Life's Anthem.

 

[Maestro]

He gets a lot of hate but I think he is a decent character. I remember he used to suck when trying to attack but his accuracy has since gotten better. I guarantee after grinding his levels he becomes pretty great.
