Pretty Cure

Anyone here fans of Pretty Cure? I've been a watcher since Fresh and currently enjoy Heartcatch and its frequent subs. I'm anticipating the appearance of this season's sixth ranger, and the Transformation Sequence I've watched got me pumped for it.

I have also watched the first two seasons of the franchise.

I quite like Pretty Cure as an extension of quite liking henshin heroines. I'm way behind on Heartcatch, though...

I want to watch the one where they compare the 2 to Black and Black RX. I have not seen any other one and am currently watching TVN's Heartcatch episodes.

One thing I did notice, is that Heartcatch is very similar to Shugo Chara. If you have not seen it, go to Crunchyroll, and you'll see what I mean.

That's the first season, with Cure Black and Cure White, I think. Overall that's probably the best season, certainly the most original.

Heartcatch's gimmicks are a lot like Shugo Chara, but I feel like Shugo Chara is more purely shoujo in terms of story.

Yay, there are many Cure fans here on HJU! My faves are the first 2 seasons (which features Minami Kotaro's 'apprentice'), Splash Star, & even Heartcatch.

BTW, Cure Sunshine is awesome! Heck, Itsuki is one of the few characters in the series who is also a martial artist.

Is it bad that I think of all these "Pretty Cure" and "Heartcatch" as rip-off's of Doremi?
Not being a hater or anything, but everytime I look at these I think of it :sweat:

This season's art style was probably inspired by Doremi. I don't know enough about Doremi to judge, but Heartcatch has a lot more action.

Plus, the whole Mahou Shoujo genre influences each other. It also obviously takes inspiration from Super Sentai.
