Old School Nickelodeon Thread

[Storm Eagle]

I'll be amazed if anyone but me remembers this...

I actually do remember that.

What I really loved about Nick back in the 90's was that it had a whole bunch of crazy, silly, and funny cartoons like Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, CatDog, and many many more. Plus they had the famous slime moments in stuff like Double Dare. And the original All That cast was probably the funniest.

Nowadays, it's just some half-assed Disney Channel clone (even though Disney Channel isn't any better) with its unfunny tweencoms and nearly 24 hrs of SpongeBob reruns that get real tiresome real quickly. Seriously, IT'S NOT THAT FUNNY. And they RARELY air good stuff like Avatar and Fairly OddParents.

The only good Nickcom that was any good in recent years was Drake and Josh.

Why do I suddenly feel like I just got pushed to the back of a very long line?

He's the other friend man. See, if I'm Ryder Strong, you get to be.....

I honestly cannot believe this thread has gone 5 pages without a single mention of You Can't Do That On Television.

The lack of a DVD release still pisses me off, greatly.

^ Honestly, I've never had a chance to catch that show on television at the time.

I LOVED You Can't Do That on Television. My favorite cast member was Christine McGlade.

Nickelodeon has degenerated to one of the most classless channels. The old writers that used to make the best TV shows have all either left or been bought out by newer more Disney-like writers. :redface2: The only good series that's been released in the last 5 year was Avatar: The Last Airbender. After that, everything is pretty much throw-away. AND FORGET ABOUT SPONGEBOB! There hasn't been a good episode of Spongebob since '06. I miss the old writers! The new episodes are a joke. And not in a good way. . .

I miss the old days of Rugrats, Kenan and Kel, Hey Arnold, and Doug! Those are fuckin classics!

Nick Arcade was AWESOME. LunaTrigger loves it too.

And You Can't Do That On Television was some of the best comedy...

But you know what was the BEST BEST?

Roundhouse!! How has no one mentioned Roundhouse and All That?

And man the Keenan and Kel intro also just makes me miss the good days of some fun clean rap like Coolio.
