Well, the DVD & Blu-ray is out. So is this movie worth it? I was going to purchase the Blu-ray at a Best buy for $20, but I could use someone's opinion if it's good to check out. If not, I probably just get Ninja Assassin, since I was going to buy them both.

I say at the least, try to view both of them (rental if you want). I do kind of prefer the style in Ninja Assassin because of how 'raw' they try to make it look. They're both cheesy movies where Ninja felt like a reflection on 80s/90s actions scenes (maybe it was the lead for me) and Assassin felt like it tried to imitate a manga styled sense of action (IE blood spills as easy as water...consistency wise too). If you have money to spare, pick up Ninja: a nice sort of B movie to have in your collection. (Mika Hijii just seemed totally hot in the film)

Ninja was pretty terrible. Ninja Assassin was brainless, but managed to be more entertaining just by virtue of its sheer insanity and oversaturated style. Honestly, I don't think either are worth a purchase, though. I'm tired of being disappointed by movies.
