NFL 2011-12 Season Official Discussion Thread

Glad the Giants won.

In related news,I didn`t see it,but I just read about it on Yahoo....Madonna`s sidekick made a lewd gesture, supposedly by accident, during the halftime show.

So how long until the Morality Police start raising hell about it?
I say 24 hours

24 hours? More like just right after she did it. :anime:

Whatever team you rooted for or against, I think it's safe to say that was one HELL of a game down to literally the last second.

Happy Big Blue won, of course but damn, that was a tight one.

... I may need a sit down like Bradshaw.

Good. **** the Patriots.

I'm glad the Giants won. Good job, Eli and his team. :buttrock:

No, not "**** the Patriots". They played with heart and I respect that. They made it to the Super Bowl once more, so that says something... Don't be a sore winning douche.

Anyway, I'm stoked the Giants won. They had excellent defense this season, and Manning deserved MVP and that Corvette.

I think it's pathetic that a 9-7 team won a Super Bowl. As I mentioned, I don't care about this game but I did watch it with friends and was sorta rooting for the Patriots. But they lost and now the Giants will continue to become cocky and the media will continue to worship Eli Manning. Now that Eli has two SB titles, which is one more than Peyton, this is not cool. I think Peyton is better and deserves another title. David Carr gets to win a ring too. I can't believe the Giants won and they need to give a ring to Kyle Williams. It was Kyle's two stupid fumbles that set them up to the SB.

I imagine people would be saying similar things if the 49ers had won it all.

Really, the Giants just hit their stride at the right time and that's how it works in any sport. Sometimes it's not how many games you win but WHICH games you win.

Man, really?

Really?

The guy everyone laughed at when he said he thought he might have what it takes to be a big name star and was constantly derided for not being "as good as his big brother" gets "worshiped"?

Well, that's the thing. Nobody "deserves" a title. You have to earn it. And like you said, Eli has two and Peyton, as good a guy as he seems, is better known for... well...

But the 49ers weren't 9-7. They were 13-3.

I kinda felt bad for the Pats when they showed Kraft, the Pats owner, at the end of the game.

Really? Huh. Shows how much I pay attention.

All I kept hearing during the build-up to the game was that the 49ers and Giants were both "the unexpected underdogs" so I took that to mean they had similar records that took them further than anyone expected.
