Cobra Commander

He.... is easily one of my favorite actors hands down, but................. He's..... Cobra.... Commander? :sly:

Ok, I think you can all agree w/ me on this one: My friends and I are gonna see this movie, but the second we hear a sound come out of Snake Eyes, we're walking!

Do you support this cause?

No not really you can waste your money if you want but it would be nice if he doesn't speak. But hey its Ray Park he hardly gets any speaking lines for his Martial arts roles.

That's not the point I'm making. I dunno how familiar you are w/ GI Joe, but Snake Eyes doesn't speak. He can't. The explosion left him a mute.

Yes I'm aware of this but sometimes a character can be rewritten for whatever reasons, its not an issue I'm too anal about. And this IS an origins movie so you never know.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a bad motherfucker, he can play anybody he wants to.

In fact, he should've played the dude from Slumdog Millionaire.

And Randy "The Ram" in The Wrestler.

And Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino.

And the old lady from The Notebook.

And then we get into the conversation/argument/flame war about characters allowed to be interpreted differently, blah, blah, not raping your childhood, etc, etc, G.I.Joe the cartoon still exists, whatever.

Maybe he is a mute? But what if he isn't? So.. what?

O.k. I may not be the biggest Joe fan. My walls are not plastered with posters signed by the cast, I don't run the biggest Joe wiki on the web - But I remember it from my childhood. I remember liking it, really digging it. I'd consider myself a fan. And If I feel the need, I'll buy the DVD's or download episodes and enjoy it again.

But I'll still go and see this movie cause honestly? It looks pretty good. At the very least it'll be a good action movie. It'll probably be visually entertaining and if some of what I remember as a kid trickles in, sweet.

I don't see the need at all to waste what? 8 bucks, your time and energy for some stupid protest that in the end? Won't make an ounce of difference. Just sit your butt in the seat and find something to enjoy. If your not wearing your G.I.Joe feety pajamas and clutching an action figure from when you were 7, then I imagine there will be something there for you to like. Hey, it's not like they're making Eragon 2.
