Movie: Mission Impossible 4 - Ghost Protocol

Depends on the perspective, I'm a bigger MI3 fan but I understand why a lot of others liked MI2 more since it focused on the style which John Woo has mastered.
I usually don't have a problem with what John Woo does, I just think the romance aspect was a bit weird for me. It is a spy movie, so romance isn't that weird, but it just felt...weirdly off in MI2. It did have its moment though. It wasn't all bad.

I've only seen MI:3 and that was on a Plane to Vegas and it was Awesome to me, this one looks really good too and it's made by JJ Abrams? yeah I'm seeing it! I think if anyone thinks Tom Cruise can't act they should watch Collateral, one of my all time favorite films

The one with Jamie Fox? Yeah! I fucking loved that movie, definitely one of my top movies of all time... Gotta love Cruise as the bad guy. :buttrock:

Seconded. Collateral is a magnificent movie. I think my favorite Jamie Fox film to date.

Just to dispel the misconception, this film was not made by J.J. Abrams. It was produced by his Bad Robot company but was directed by Brad Bird.

Oh, yeah, and this movie looks awesome. I'm a huge mark for spy movies and this looks like it will deliver all the international espionage, familiar character archetypes and totally implausible action I'm in it for. It's pretty encouraging that what little action that was presented in the trailer is controlled, clear and visible--this is something that has been missing from the action scenes of most Hollywood movies for quite some time and I hope that future big-budget action filmmakers follow the cues of movies like this. It's too early to tell whether it will satisfy or fall flat like so many similar movies with great-looking trailers have, but I haven't seen an enjoyable major blockbuster action flick in a while and you can bet I'll be there opening night for this one.
