Most historic sentai seasons

Which seasons do you guys think put the greatest impact on the Sentai franchise, molding it to become what it is now? And why? Here's what I think were the most historical seasons:

Bioman: Bioman's characters all had very unique, original, and realistic personalities. Now, many seasons prior to Bioman I think did well with their characters as well. But IMO, Bioman did it exceptionally well. And I believe if it wasn't for Bioman, many seasons to come after it, wouldn't have been what they were. Any of you Philippine viewers should know what I'm talking about. ;)

Jetman: Jetman isn't considered the "best sentai" without a reason. IMO, in terms of character development from start to finish, Jetman did it exceptionally well. Much like how Bioman did with their character personalities. I believe Jetman put a very positive impact for all the seasons to come after it. I mean, "good character development" is a very vital ingredient for these shows.

Dairanger: IMO, sentai puts me on the edge of my seat the most, when episodes end in cliffhangers, and the story is always moving, with very little fillers (and of course, if the story is good). Dairanger had that. It's story was just plain amazing. Plus, it's fight scenes were some of the best (if not the best). Even the mecha fight scenes were very enjoyable to watch. Plus, it was quite bloody. Especially the Ryou vs Jin fight scenes. Dairanger had amazing choreography. Afterwards, everything changed to computer special effects (which isn't bad IMO, but wish they wouldn't overuse them). Overall, Dairanger's storytelling and choreography were very historical in the franchise.

PS: Gotta love Yutaka Hirose! :)

Timeranger: What makes sentai so special compared to other toku? Well, IMO, it's the use of various themes per season. Which gives sentai a very unique and original way of storytelling. And IMO, Timeranger had probably the most original and amazing theme that I have seen up to date: "Even if you can't change your destiny, you can always change tomorrow." Just love that a lot.

So there you have it. Those are the sentai that I personally think made the biggest impacts in the franchise, up to date. Although I might have missed some seasons here and there, but these were what I had in mind at the moment. So which seasons do you guys think helped shape the franchise into what it is now? And why?

Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGo-V
Mirai Sentai Timeranger
Choudenshi Bioman
Choujuu Sentai Liveman
Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger
Mahou Sentai Magiranger
Choushinsei Flashman
Gekisou Sentai Carranger
Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger
Gosei Sentai Dairanger
Seijuu Sentai Gingaman

Bioman: Not only was it the first series with two females but I also see it as the beginning of probably the golden age of Sentai.

To me it's always pre-Bioman or post-Bioman when I look at Sentai shows, and I think it finally sets the themes and mold for all the other sentai to come. Shows before it felt like they haven't found the right direction to take Sentai in.

As far as suit design, I'm gonna say Maskman, because Maskman was like 2 or 3 years ahead of its time with helmet and actual suit design.

I'd say Maskman has one of my favorite suit designs I've ever seen in a sentai.

Sentai didn't really come into its own until Changeman, IMO. The wheels were starting to turn with Dynaman, the train began moving with Bioman, but went full speed with Changeman. I think it was really Hirohisa Soda who realized the full potential of the franchise. (Well, Soda and producer Takeyuki Suzuki, who took over the franchise with Goggle V, the same series which was Soda's first as chief writer).

With Goggle V, they stuck a bit too close the style writer Shozo Uehara and the past producers used. To me, it didn't seem like they felt freer to take chances until Bioman, but Changeman's where Soda found balance (something he's even said in interviews).

Soda's an unsung hero of the franchise, and I don't think Jetman would exist without the work he did with Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, and Liveman. (Maskman especially.) I think those four works of Soda's made the biggest impact on sentai. Four unique shows which really showed the franchise's potential and took it to the next step. If sentai stayed on a Denjiman or Sunvulcan sort of path, it would have probably died out.

YES to this. I was actually quite disappointed with the designs that followed Maskman; IMO it was superior to them. It was simple but gorgeous.

Jetman... well, much as I'd like to say it was the best season, what I don't like about it was that the story focused primarily on the three characters (Red, Black and White) and all but forgot about the other two. It ran much like a soap opera at times. But I guess that's also a good thing since it treated the characters as human who can and did fall for people who, say, they spend all their time with.

What about Shinkenger? I'm obsessed with it, but that's beside the point. It's a homage to everything Japanese, which I'd say is about time.

And you might like this, but I think Go-Onger was all kinds of epic in its innovation and nothing is sacred attitude.

G3 princesses episodes aside, you can't say Go-Onger didn't do a damn good.

The talking mechas alone can attest to that. They added a whole new dimension to heroes and their arsenal.
