Megaranger seems underrated

Iono, it seems that way. For the people thats seen the whole thing, is it good good or "it's ight".

I've seen eps, but never kept going do to just forgetting about it or just not feeling like watching it.

What do you think about it?

I've only seen the episodes TV-N released. It's not exactly high up on my Sentai To-Do List, but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more.

I agree, it's very underrated. Granted maybe there's a touch of a nostalgia factor since it's among the first non-PRized and mercifully Bulk and Skull free Sentai I ever got to see but I still dig those suits and I like the characters.

Kenta is a great example I think of how to do the hot-headed and not-so-bright but full of heart and spirit type SentaiRed and not have it come off so obnoxious as it did with later ones.

By non-PRized, you mean that the plot is not the same as its PR Counterpart?

No I meant was that it was among the first I saw during the time when I got to see real Sentai without the PR treatment*at all*.

See this in the before time, the long long ago, when you didn't really have all this ready access to it via the internet. I had seen some stuff in my childhood like Space Giants and Ultraman dubbed. When PR came about I kind of had this love/hate thing with it. Eventually I figured out what things I liked about vs. what I didn't and decided to try my luck with the shows PR took their footage from and was aware of some vendors at comiccons who had VHS tapes of the stuff. During one of my earliest times ever even being on the internet I found out that MegaRanger was the current Sentai running in Japan and I thought the suits looked so slick. Over the next few years I found out more about tokusatsu in general and MegaRanger was among the many reasons I was glad I did.

That story really, honestly put a smile on my face. It's one of those "Back in the Day" stories I enjoy.

Well, after seeing some RAWs posted up on youtube, I'll say that this show is pretty good. It had some great storylines, good characters, pretty cool monster-designs. I also think that Yugande looked and acted more badass than his PR counterpart Ecliptor.

I loved MegaRanger. I liked whole "The Last Starfighter" type plot. I love video games.

Like Mattcomics said the recent red should be like Kenta. Best thing about the show.

What I like about MegaRanger was that is was a simple sentai to understand. It wasn't over the top like these recent ones have been.
