Kuuga and Agito Connection

One of Agito's episodes refers to Number 4 (Kuuga). So the worlds are connected.

It makes a reference to a "Unidentified Lifeform Number 4"... which fought against other "Unidentified Lifeforms" two years before Agito even though Agito started airing one week after Kuuga. The page that I posted a link to previously says that they created that contradiction intentionally, because Agito isn't actually a Kuuga sequel.

I think the connection was meant to be there but got lost during production, kinda like a reverse of the whole "New Kamen Rider" being a reboot initially and then lo-and-behold here comes V3 for a crossover!

I am willing to bet they planned for it to be Kuuga's sequel, but then it got lost somewhere, the G3/Kuuga connection is the best evidence for it. But then it may never have been intended as being a solid sequel as they are only light references at the start and the 2 year gap was no doubt put there so then some fans can go "Ah so Kuuga and the gang are elsewhere that's why he's not teaming with Agito."

Also there's the whole Grongi Tribe turning up in Decades Agito AR world. But I'd be pretty foolish if I were to make it out to be iron clad evidence as it's Decade.

Either way Agito is still one of my favourite Riders and shows, Kuuga didn't do much for me so I'm not fussed one way or the other to the possible connection, this is just how I see it.

I'll clarify this.

At the beginning of time, there are two tribes of human beings. Grongi, and Linto. They have been at each other's throat for a long time until one day, Grongi's found a miraculous stone and used it's power to the extent that they were no longer human, but monsters and slaughtered the Linto tribes. Kuuga, a normal human being, asked the Overlord of Darkness for the same power. He grants him the same type of power and Kuuga uses this power to seal away all the Grongis. The Overlord of Darkness asks Kuuga returns a favor and destroys Agitos, evolved human beings that are not of his creation, but rather from the creation of the Overlord of Light who created the Seed of Agito and planted it in the humans who are the children of The Overlord of Darkness.

Kuuga refuses, thus sealing himself away in a tomb as we see in the very first episode.

In a way, Kuuga can be seen as the power of Darkness, while Agito can be seen as the power of Light. They coexists without having to face each other and still keep a balance.
Is this from some kind of official sourcebook? It looks like there's a lot of connections between Kuuga and Agito that obviously aren't actually mentioned in the series but are expanded upon in supplemental material.

Sorry for bringing this thread up.
But is there a real connection between the two series? Because some of the explanations here sound very interesting...

The short and easy version is that Kuuga is not related to Agito, but within Agito, there may have been events very similar to those of the Kuuga series.

Given that they kinda stop talking about it after like... three episodes, and really just use it as a premise for why they have a man-made Rider suit right away, it's not really a huge deal.

But, I don't know... Maybe there is some kind of explanation in some kind of bonus feature of some kind, or some book...

Nah... I made it up on the go as I watched Kuuga and Agito over the years... It was the only thing that seemed plausible to me. Becuase having two beings that are destined to be against each other, and yet are both referred to by the same tittle, Kamen Rider, puts them on each other's side, even if they never meet.
