Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taizen Z - Discussion Thread

Who are the seven people that liked this movie?! Seriously?!

I have one or two friends who will never really say a bad thing about anything Toei puts out (other than presumed bitching at Nadeshiko, but not for being a shitty character, but rather that she's really cute and they want more for shipping). At least one of them gets really pissy at me whenever I put out valid opinions or dare to speak ill, so I imagine people like this.

HM, how disappointed were you in this movie's treatment of Beet J Stag? I am very interesting in your thoughts about this :rolleyes2:

Honestly we should all be pissed about that. Not even as J fans. It's just seriously illogical. You have four Go-Busters. You say countless times that you are going to need every hero of earth to win this fight...SO YOU ONLY USE THREE GO-BUSTERS!!!

And you have a camping trip and don't even invite the guy that lives in the woods? Dick move.

Honestly I rather have an all Rider/Sentai team up again. At least then I have something to look forward to.

I don't think they even needed All Rider and Sentai, but they need to actually use them in the story, rather than just throwing in them in the background of the final battle. Why weren't the Dekaranger hunting Wizard and Beast in the earlier scenes alongside Gavan? Why weren't the Magiranger or maybe Shinkenger pointed as possible culprits too? Even if they were suit appearances, they'd feel like much more solid participations than what we got.

Why couldn't some other heroes have ended up fighting against Space Shocker alongside the protagonists before the final battle? Like, maybe some random suit-only Kamen Riders or space Sentai could appear there helping Yoko escape.

The final battle could reunite all of them together, alongside adding a few more with their own scenes.

But, no, they decided to be dumb and just make everyone appear at the ending with basically no roles in the story or even fighting scenes of their own.

The final battle itself here focused way too much on the Kyoryuger and Wizard too. SHT 1 gave the big CG battle scene to Fourze and Go-Busters, but Decade, Gokaiger, OOO and more were on the ground fighting against BioHunter and Doctor G at the same time. Right before that, we also got cuts to a few random team ups, and also a Decade & Gokaiger team up against General Shadow. Here, the final battle was entirely concentrated on Wizard, Kyoryuger and a bit of space detective - which really hurts the movie's narrative considering how Wizard disappeared during long stretches of the movie and the Kyoryuger only had a completely random scene before the final battle. Even the battle against Raider was left to Beast and KyoryuGold. The only thing close to that here was the Fourze and Inazuman team up, but that's just a single scene and for last year's series...

It's like this movie was made for magazine pictures rather than actually to be watched.

Well, J was there...........unfortunately J's only scene has him getting pushed away from the spotlight by fucking Nitoh/KR Beast of all people

If Yonemura (the writer) didn't portray Yoko, Gai, Nitoh, and Geki aka Gavan as inherently boring, bland characters (although their acting was also lacking in this movie as well), I probably would've liked this movie like everyone else did.

Not to say the acting in the first Super Hero Taisen was any better, but fucking Kaito and Joe were inherently more entertaining characters to keep you emotionally involved in a "plot-less movie" than the 4 characters I mentioned above.

Not to mention Haruto was barely around for 75% of the movie, so that made things even less entertaining since the main Rider is not even around to be involved with the movement of the plot.

Just finished watching the subs, following my mistake with the first one. I decided to wait until the subs were really out before really watching it. What a mistake it is.....................

because I shouldn't even try to watch it. It's all Let's Go Kamen Rider in there as I see.

Such a waste of money for making this movie, it would better be invested into something else. Now I just pray that they don't make another SHT like this. If they still want, better change the whole production team. The writing and directing really.....terrible.

as cruel as it sounds, I'm sorry. but it's "I hate this" from me.

I liked the movie until a certain point of the film. Where Retsu basically tries destroy the planet Earth instead of listening to any kind of a reason while his own men were on the planet, not just his people, but actual Space Sheriffs, what the ****?

It has flaws, but I thought it was better than the first one.

Biggestp roblem I say was the imbalanced betwee nthe three franchise, there's no core Kamen Rider character and there's no charismatic sentai guy on the villain side. They should have brought Bio Hunter to stand with Shadowmoon!

Also I really wanted to see the Go-Busters go Powered Custom! I bet they could have won over Shadowmoon in those forms!
