I'm sorry but no, rarely and I mean RARELY do the Kamen Rider suit designers ever take the lazy way out. Its not lazy they just make it look easy because they are excellent at what they do. And even then its easy to see its not lazy because there are numerous elements that were obviously planned quite early on.

You're too focused on the "lazy" parts and not focused enough on the "why does it look so same-y" part, which is my real complaint.

Also: Kamen Rider Fourze. They phoned in everything not related to Meteor.

Rider Chips used to be just a instrumental band with rotating vocalists for the shows.

I think it's basically "Ricky's own career was having trouble taking off, so Avex forced him into the Rider Chips full-time after Elements sold well." People like ROLLY and m.c.A.T. already had long careers and followings, so I don't really think they would have been permanent vocalists even if they were offered.

The Rider Chips were more interesting with their revolving door of vocalists, IMO -- vocalists who were also Rider fans that Yoshio Nomura sought out.

And in re-reading my posts, it seems I was being unfair to Keiko Terada for not being curious about her too. (>_>) Listening to Firebird again and it's such a good song.

I love Fire Bird. It's so sad that it's just wasted as a B-side.

That's another thing I liked about the old Rider Chips, though -- they got me into a lot of different singers. Keiko Terada's one of my favorite musicians and it's because of them. They're how I became aware of the music of people like ROLLY and Diamond Yukai and Kenji Ohtsuki...

Japanese people call meteor showers meteor storms.This is where his name and design comes from.His suit is symmetrical now, to show that there is more than one meteor now, instead of his asymmetrical base suit design, which shows only one meteor.

The staff came from the fact that Ryusei practiced Asian martial arts.Although gun staffs aren't often used in Jeet Kune Do, they are prominently used in Chinese martial arts.

I have no idea where they got the whole top thing from though.I can only presume that it's a pun with the storm idea, judging by Meteor Storm's transformation, which is a cyclone with the Meteor Storm Switch as the eye.

To each his own. What I've seen of Infinity Style just makes me think "wow how lazy". I'll have to see it in action to make a final judgment. But then we're going off different opinions--I personally want the suits to look fairly different. Like Emperor Form Kiva, or King+ Form Blade, Hyper Kabuto or Ultimate Kuuga. This looks too same-y.

But Emperor Form, King Form and Hyper Kabuto were terrible suit designs.
