The sad part is Goseiger had a new episode last week and the thread is dead whereas OOO didn't have a new ep yet the thread is still active.

OOO > Goseiger, in my opinion.

Goseiger is mostly an episodic show, in spite of all the different arcs. Two episodes into an arc, we're back to mostly episodic stories. Getting less discussion than OOO, which has had a mostly continuous story so far, is natural. Goseiger only would get more discussion, as an episodic series, if it were really inventive in some way... but it just isn't.

The theme and merchandising weren't integrated well, it had a bad introduction, and the few changes it attempted just had mediocre results, like their attempt to make the Goseiger seem like inspiring angelic figures which just resulted in characters with toned down aspects. Now, I don't think it's a really bad show, but I wouldn't rate it high either. I still watch it and I'm not bored while watching the episodes, but it not something that makes me look forward to the next one.

Changeman, in spite of the love it gets, was formerly what I considered a "mediocre Sentai". Good action scenes, bgm and monster designs, but otherwise an unremarkable show, and I'll probably rate Goseiger right bellow it after everything is done.

The thing about Goseiger is it's (in my opinion anyway) very, very bland. The characters aren't particularly well fleshed out and for the most part are just rehashes of usual Sentai character "types" without anything different added to spice them up (Alata is the exception to this), the villains are switched around so much that we're not given the time to get to know anything about them, other than they want to DESTROY THE WORLD MWAHAHAHA, and the entire angelic theme hasn't really been explored to its full potential. As a result I just don't care. Goseiger can have all the Big Showdown With The Villains episodes it likes, but seeing as I don't much care about the Goseigers and I really really don't care about the villains, it's not of much interest to me.

I mean, I know it's Sentai. I'm not asking for great philosophical musings on the nature of the universe or anything like that, I'm just asking for something, because right now I'm feel like I'm watching the bare bones of a Sentai without any actual meat.
