After rewatching episode 6 I noticed that Gotou simply used a remote to activate one of the vending machine bikes. Could this mean that the Kougami Foundation actually don't need to put medals in, and that they're just manipulating Ankh and Eiji to use up theirs instead?

like, i could bet that the fat cat Yummy alone was made up of a few thousand
and at ep 6, each one of those hands gotta have like at least a few tens in them and there are hundreds of them..

Yeah but then 70% is really a kick in the balls. But I don't really see the point. Even if they take the cells he's still a freaking hand. I'd be focusing on the Cores.

well even if he's a hand. if he doesnt have enough cell medals and all his cores.. he's still a very weak greeed. think of coins for the greeed as HP. the less they have the easier it is to defeat them. so if they have a shitton of cell medals, they'd be pretty set, especially if the greeed is complete. so i think the idea is, even if they dont have all their cores, they continue getting cells while searching for their cores so when they do find their cores, they'll pretty much be unstoppable.
