I remember him and Ankh not meeting each other face to face in the beginning, especially when Ankh wanted to let the Yummies get more medals before before killing them.

Really, you're complaining about Goto at this point not due to his character and actions, but just due to his personality. The only real argument that you have so far is his dislike of the mission of giving a new medal to Eiji, but you complained about him even before that. You're basically just saying "Anyone that isn't charismatic and open to everyone is an evil asshole".

I don't understand this weird attitude towards Goto, there is good reason he is distrustful of Ankh. Plus while Ankh may become a more likable character in the future right now he isn't, I mean he stole candy (well ice pops) from children you can't get more evil than that.
