Or even at least like Castling form, but not this. A Kamen Rider, looking like a monster? This is getting insane. Toei, what have you done?

well it's up to toei to make kiva flight form like this.

Because it's a kids show, and kids like monsters.

That, and this is the next gradual step for Wataru's evolution. Emperor Form is the original Kiva suit, except not tainted with evil. And that's only because he is using Battosansei, and not Nisei.

The story needs a form for Wataru that is out of control, as a main sub-plot (and arguably, the main plot) in the series is Wataru dealing with the fact that he is half-fangire.

why would he choose to go back 22 years to look at a key event
and not other timeline...
wat so significant about this one...
so is this the last form that nago gets and kiva gets one more form and then maybe a new rider????
too many ideas...and hwo is it gonna fits into the series...

These are all questions that can only be answered with a simple "you have to watch the show".

And it isn't too many ideas. Nago gets his power up next episode. Kiva will get emperor flight in september/october, along with Saga showing up, and Otoya will transform into DarkKiva in November.

It's not too complicated.

dude, kamen rider shin is a clear exception cause he's a BADASS, SUPER BADASS, MAN! i would prefer a shin-like form for kiva just in case he turns into a berserker than this bat monster. but come to think of it, dracula turns into a bat (albeit a small one) for transportation. as i see it now, i can imagine kiva emperor carrying an unconcious gown-clad mio into a master's bedroom. come on toei, revive shin!
