Aoi Kurenai
Mad Skillz
Kiva's not nearly as bad as Boukenger though, it certainly won't go down as the best show ever, but it's gotten pretty decent lately. I mainly like the fact that the plot isn't taking 35 episodes to kick in, like with Den-O where you either had to really like the characters to keep interested, or just drop the show. Kiva definitely has flaws, quite a bit of them, but I think the positives outweigh them, and it's not at "well this show doesn't suck as much as that show, so it's good!", Kiva does have a fair bit of redeeming qualities.
We're getting fights between Kamen Riders with actual reasons behind them, they actually remind me of Agito style fights, they don't happen too often, but when they do, it's not because some guy looked at another in a strange manner or because someone was having a bad day. We've got characters connected to each other in really interesting ways, non-Kamen Riders actually getting focus and a pretty interesting villain hierarchy.
The Kiva fans don't seem like the Boukenger fans either, where 90% of them heard how cool the "manly men" of yesteryear were and thought that Akashi was one just because he didn't fit the role of your typical model. I'm not sure if it was you who said it, but I definitely agree when people say Boukenger was an old school style Sentai in looks only, and even then that really only applied to a couple of the rangers, the others were your average models.
