Kamen Rider Gaim Ep 24 - "The New Formidable Overlords"

Baron continues to attempt to defeat the Overlord Inves to no success, until Marika suggests a new plan. Mitsuzane tries to get Kouta, now that he has the Peach Energy Lockseed, to track down the Overlord Inves, while also finding out that DJ Sagara has been helping him all this time, leading him to wonder who Sagara really is and what his plans are.

Since Sagara wants to see someone "seize the forbidden fruit", wouldn't that make him the serpent instead? :laugh:

I said it as a joke, but looking at the way Sagara showed up on this episode, maybe I wasn't too far off...

Great episode to get things started again. The fight at the start was really intense and felt Kaito was genuinely struggling and could have died if not for Yoko saving his life.

I feel like there's a bit of Takumi/Kusuka/Mari love triangle forming, hopefully Urobuchi deals with this better. Micchi is going for the worst now.

I find it funny that during the Yggdrasil meeting, Takatora was technically the dumbest guy in the room.

I really wasn't fond of the scene of Kouta testing lockseeds in the beginning. This episode started from Baron's battle with the overlord (basically ignoring last week's crossover) but, after the opening, it shows a Kouta who apparently is completely recovered and even light hearted "just" after the big revelation regarding Yuuya? Even his personality in the crossover was more appropriate than that.

Oh, well, I'll go by the official site and consider the crossover part of the story, giving some breathing room for this, but that scene still really annoyed me.

Takumi/Mari is a fan thing that only had any real substance in the AU Paradise Lost movie. The setup in Faiz is barely comparable to this (not to mention that Micchi is completely out of his tree and sees ANY mention of Kouta by Mai, or vice versa, as a threat)

Kaito has gone completely off the deep end as well, Kouta's the only one of the bunch with any semblance of sanity left

Reminds me of the comedic scene after Hase's death where Kouta was trying out the lemon energy lockseed on the sengoku driver.

The Overlords are like the high ranking Grongi. They even have the crazy lighting in their hangout and evil music. Also the the different Jinba arms remind me of Kuuga's different base forms.

Looks like next episode will have some Gridon development?

Urobuchi is definitely more of a Kuuga fan than what he is leading people to believe

That first scene of Kouta in Gaim was all you needed to know that he was a Kuuga fan.
