Kamen Rider Fourze Discussion Thread 2.0

Stellar episode of Fourze today. Thank goodness they bring Sakamoto for the important episodes.

. The Aries Zodiart is my favorite Zodiart aesthetically. It has this haunting appearance that really isn't apparent in a lot of the other Zodiarts, and I love it. Plus it has an interesting weapon as well as a cape. The way he uses his power is interesting too, creating a theater in the school, but it seems a bit to similar to how Kijima used his powers. Might just be too soon after Kijima's departure though.

. I really want Libra to stick it to those younger Horoscopes. I rather like Hayami's character, but seeing him getting pushed around by Kijima and now by Yamada is a bit laughable. Of course, he got back at Kijima in the end, but I really can't see Libra repeating the pattern again with Yamada when he falls next episode.

. Libra's ability is pretty weak compared to creating black holes, taking souls, and making people fall asleep. Then again, we might see him whip out some nice new powers when he dies like Sonoda did with her poison. I want him to use his lightning ability again.

. I enjoy how Cancer and Libra have very dark punishments to give out to kids. Adds some credibility after Sonoda did squat.

. Sakamoto's wire work was superb this episode. He even made it work with Magnet. The slow motion kick against Fourze was spectacular. I just rewatched the fight a few times to understand what was happening. Interesting to see Meteor Storm Punisher take on Magnet Charge Bomber while Meteor and Fourze duke it out. We don't really see legit rider kicks anymore since we have CGI to replace them, but I really cherish those rare moment we see Eitoku or Takaiwa actually get the wires and kick someone instead of CGI. Sakamoto tends to do it in all the things he directs, as Joker, Eternal and Meteor today had actual kicks instead of CGI. So yeah for old fashion finishers.

. Props to Takahashi's acting today. I was surprised to see him get all worked up over Gen. Time for the yearly bromance to amp up the emotion. Though I'll never get over Ankh. Looks like Kengo will get some big focus next week, bringing out the old glove to try and resurrect Gen.

. Cosmic looks great. Can't wait for next week.

So does this mean that no more Kamen Rider Meteor, because Tachibana said if Ryusei's identity as Meteor is found out by others then he is no more a KR

The first time his identity was found out by Cancer, Libra locked him away before he can say anything but this time it was found out by Gentaro so what will happen to my all time favorite rider Meteor?

The way I understand it, it was Tachibana who took away the Meteor henshin in the first place. That's kinda unfair.

I'm getting confused by Tachibana's motivations. At the start it seems it was his idea for Ryuusei to don Meteor and do whatever it takes to use Aries to save Jirou.. Now it (1) made that test where he would rather that Meteor save the KRC instead of getting to Jirou and (2) he took away Meteor's henshin after Meteor laid the smackdown on a kamen rider who can't even turn his head.

Can't wait for the next episodes. This one has a much darker mystery than OOO.

EDIT: Oh, and I just remembered. The English teacher actually used the "IMPOSIBRU" meme :P.

EDIT2: Now that I think about it, it's possible that Tachibana may be related to Gentaro. Either his father or someone who knew his parents. Before he learned about Fourze he had this Machiavellian approach to things, but then turned around when he saw what Gentaro was trying to do.

Not sure if someone mentions this but I really like the part where Yuki imitates Fourze's henshin sequence.

Perfect sync, even till the last sentence she spoke.

Tachibana didn't think that Ryusei would take it this far, to where he would actually murder Gentaro. Which is why he pulled the plug on him after a stern warning the first time. And I can't blame him, since now Ryusei is unworthy of that Driver or being called a Kamen Rider.

I haven't been able to figure out exactly who Tachibana is, but it is clear that he does hold the reputation of Kamen Rider extremely high and that's why he'd pull the plug on Meteor. I'm glad he took a stance on Ryusei and it improves my perception of him.

I think Ryusei should be ashame of himself for using Bruce Lee's moves One-Inch Punch for the evil side.

Speaking of, I wonder if Nozama's gonna say something regarding that considering how strongly she feels on what being a Rider should entail; if she just accepts it, it'd be disappointing. >>

I don't know what I should say about this episode that hasn't been said.

I know Ryusei was trying to save his friend and that's the reason why he stopped Gentaro from finishing off but killing him? That's too much. I understand what's he going through but, killing a person that is trying save the world does not save your friend. For all we know, Jirou might turn his back on Ryusei leaving him with no friends at all. In fact, I'm calling that right now!

Next episode Jirou will break his friendship with Ryusei permanently.
