Then we know what happened, the episode ends with Proto Drive saying his catchphrase and running towards the Roidmudes. Although the whole thing was only about 15 minutes it was a great episode with a very serious tone, also Hayase does seem to be the leader of the two during their partnership.

Probably not, but it's the same model and seems to resemble the Ride Chaser.

By the way, (Spoiler for the 0 Episode) [HIDE]Proto-Drive uses the Type Speed car. Is that supposed to be the one we've got now? Like did it get upgraded or something? Or is it a prototype too? I'm waiting for the subs to see if there are any references to it, so I'm asking in case someone who knows Japanese heard something about it in the episode[/HIDE]

I managed to get thru and the rar contains two torrents that are already on nyaa... Just go there and find the two movies and save yourself the trouble.

Really digging Machs look. He's streamlined, simple and he kind of looks like a zect trooper.

I like Mach's design he reminds me of Accel and the Zectroopers. The only nitpick I have is similar to Drive's forms, they put the damn wheel where it makes the suit look ugly. Why another tiny wheel in his chest?? Without the wheel the suit would be perfect.

Having just finished Episode 0, I can confirm the Proto Drive IS indeed Chase.

Proto Drive was never shown out of suit, but once he spoke you can clearly hear 100% it's him. Chase's actor was also credited at the end, so unless they're really trying to screw us around he's pretty much Proto Drive.

The story starts 12 hours before Global Freeze. Shinnosuke and Hayase were on a case to catch NeoShade, a group who has been planting bombs around the city. Shinnosuke had a dream about Global Freeze whilst the two were sitting in the car. Meanwhile the scene changes to the Roimudes 'HQ' where Heart (in his non-evolved form) was telling the others to get ready for the night.

Back to the police, and a clip of a presenter getting kidnapped asking for money was shown on TV. Shinnosuke realises this is just someone who's pretending to be NeoShade and the two quickly finds the kidnappers hiding place. After a scrappy fight, Shinnosuke was about to arrest him, however Roidmude 005 was watching all along and he let the kidnapper escape. The kidnapper was actually a criminologist who was mimicking various past unsolved crime patterns (basically he had a warped mine). The Roidmude saw this warped desire and wished to kill him.

So the Roidmude started the Heaviness, he copied the criminologist's outlook and was about to kill him. But he was saved by Proto Drive. The fight ensues (note that Proto Drive's catchphrase was 'There is no need to give away my identity for those who I'll beat soon', also it's still called Type Speed), and Proto Drive Rider Kicks the Roidmude but doesn't destroy the Core. Proto Drive does however, obtained the damaged Viral Bat Core, and runs away as Shinnosuke comes back and properly arrests the criminologist.

Back in the Pit, the Viral Core was repaired and was slotted into the shift brace, Proto Drive can then access the Roidmude's memory and sees their plan for the Global Freeze. Shinnosuke and Hayase arrive at another building where a bomb is suspected the be planted by NeoShade, Kiriko was also there helping out evacuating the people, but the two just walked past each other.

I don't even think the producers and Riku Sanjo are even trying to hide the fact who Proto Drive really is........they basically just put it out there for everyone in Episode Zero.

I wonder how this will go along as Chase role in the storyline starts to grow in this show
