Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight - The Official Thread

[Wheatley]

仮面ライダードラゴンナイト = Kamen Raida Doragon Naito

[ShinnGun]

Tomokazu Sugita will gonna voice JTC/Strike!

Anyway.... I want to see Kyon as a sadistic, neck-cracking jerk and tell how Haruhi is a self-righteous, sadistic, annoying b*tch she was. And it's TRUE.

A punch wasn't enough to teach her a lesson. He should do THIS!

Kyon/Strike: So long, god....

Two new tidbits of info:

Here is the Toei Channel information page(Basic overview, running time, under construction episode details etc.)

And

It appears Stephen Lunsford is apparently going to be doing a short voice-over promotion (or promotions it's hard to tell) that is/are approximately 15 minutes or so that will lead into the show and showoff a few interviews with the cast.

How funny would it be if Dragon Knight becomes more popular than Den-O.

[Dark Kabuto]

Y'know, one thing I'm curious about the Japanese dub

That's if they'll still be using the term "Vented" for killing off the Riders. I mean...they can get away with using swear words in a show aimed for kids over there...

[Mr. Underachiever]

Are you sure about that... are have you just been watching too many TVN subs?

Well, I'm pretty sure I heard Len say "vent" in the dub trailer.

[Silver Wolf]

If you watch the trailer, "Len" basically says the original line: "If you contract with that Dragon...you'll get vented." So obviously they are keeping that concept.

Also there aren't really, to my knowledge, any actual "swear words" in the Japanese language. There are taboo words, perhaps, but what you mainly see in fan-subs are various iterations and, sometimes oddly chosen, translations of words or phrases used in various levels of "rudeness." The most commonly seen being harsh levels of "You!" better translated as "You jerk!" or in formal cases "You cur!". Contrary to popular belief, some subbed anime and toku are alot less "adult" then fansubs (often made by more adult fans) would make them appear.

Now THAT will be awesome!!!

[Kung Fu Lover]

I think to wish for dragon knight to be more popular than an original Japanese rider show is missing the point. Remember, Dragon Knight was created from the Japanese show. I think it's pretty awesome that they are actually showing it in Japan considering it wasn't designed for the Japanese audience. And if the general reaction is positive towards Dragon Knight, it's more than anyone can ask for. They need not compete against each other. After all, Toei owns both shows and if Japan can accept Dragon knight as one of its own, then that's the best of both worlds! IMHO!
