Kamen Rider Double Rumor/Picture Thread

This was already mentioned a few pages back, speculation was that Philippe will be the torso-head while Shotaro will be the head-head since Philippe is rumored to be dead soon.

So Philip gets preserved in the face of the suit somehow? I seemed to remember people speculating that he could somehow download himself to Fang Memory if his body were destroyed ...

I think the rumor about Phillip dying is just that, a rumor. This rumor popped up around the same time as the first photo of Fang - Joker Form, but as we see from newer scans, it's actually Philip who is the "body" in this new form, and Shotaru who eats floor. So I don't think Phil is dying, I could certainly be wrong, but that's what I think.

If Philip is dying it's either a one episode temporary death or something that happens much later in the series. The pacing would be really off for him to die right after they get Fang Joker.

They can probably kill Philippe in the last few remaining episodes to add drama, but it'd be stupid if they do it mid-series.

I can see it now, Shotaro can no longer henshin because of the death of Philippe and is about to die at the hands of the final boss (Terror or Nazca), drama all-over, Akiko cries as Philipe lies dead in her arms, but lo and behold! Philippe's soul appears in front of the final boss stunning him before hitting Shotaro and enters Shotaro's body, then they henshin to that (speculated) final form! And PURE EPIC WIN! - Yeah it's silly and won't win a writer's award or something.

Get over the death rumor already, it was entirely too soon for something in the 20 something episodes, just because Dukemon says it doesn't mean its law all of the time. (No offense to him of course).

The entire concept of the show is about the partnership between the two they aren't going to kill him.

You talking to me? Coz I did say that it was stupid if they did it mid-series. And regarding that partnership concept (which has been mentioned again and again before already), YES they can kill him, and show that their partnership is beyond the physical world, even after death, they are still Aibou. Not that I believe the whole Phillipe dies rumor, BUT IT IS STILL A POSSIBILITY WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

Besides, Philippe is clearly something more than a human being, other than his superb googling skills, he probably has an ability to still be in the show even if he dies physically, or even resurrect for that matter, you never know.

Tsk, some people can't even think outside the box.

The rumor of Philip's death comes from a source on 2ch that has been dead on as far as rumors go, so far.

The rumor states that Philip dies in episode 25 or so. Any pics we have of FangJoker are from Begins Night, in which, it appears that Philip uses the Fang Memory prior to Cyclone Joker's first appearence, and then possibly in an end of the movie battle. (Philip's clothes are from ep 1 in the pictures, for the most part.)

It's very possible that the Fang Memory is just a tool which allows one person to become Double, no matter who that is. Shotaro could use it in episode 25, until Philip comes back.

The rumor is not confirmed, but it is in no way an impossible thing.

Fang Memory is stated as being specialized for fighting many enemies at once, so it being a major part of Begins Night would make sense.

Around mid-point is usually when a show using dual-protagonist formula will split them up for awhile... but while I can buy that Philip will die, I don't think he's staying dead.

(If he does, it'll be he same boneheaded mistake that ruined Hikaru no Go and Death Note.)

As I have said, the purpose of Daigoyou is to be a substitute for the almost retirement of Genta which was debated to be the reason why he is considered as a Shinkenger even though he is a support mech. Yes the okapikki was discussed in the episode which almost everybody who watches Shinkenger knows, but the reason why they did the samurai kanji on Daigoyou is to show that "anybody can be a samurai" which was their theme in most episodes. (Genta, Mr. Brown, Daigoyou, etc.)

touché

Regarding Shinkenwhite/silver, yeah, now I remember that discussion, people where thinking that its going to be Juuzo to wear the mantle, though it doesn't seem to be happening. (But who knows, it might happen in the very last episode just like Kyosuke Kiriya's oni form in Hibiki.)

If it happens :

- It's not gonna be around for long

- It has no mecha

- 1 & 2

- It's Jii and all of the shinkengers are dead

That's just what I think. IMO, Toei cashes in more with sentai. I'm not entirely sure they'll pass up an opportunity to push more shinken merchandise.

Now, FangJoker.... I noticed he sorta has the same color scheme as the boss. Black & White...
And this all happens on "Begins Night".. I wonder if that itself is a clue and the reason why phillip's memory is so screwed?

So the possibility of Philippe dying just increased? :O_O: And in the middle of the series?! Well, I agree with Lynxara that Philippe won't be dead that long most probably, he probably has a special ability or something. Just like what happened to Zanki and Todoroki in KR Hibiki series.
[HIDE] During a battle where Todoroki was left immobile, Zanki had to step in to fill his spot. The night before his death, Zanki used a forbidden spell Shuki taught him on his soul that would not let it leave the mortal realm until his mission was fulfilled. However this same spell would result in the decay of his human soul should he remain among the living for too long. During a battle with a group of Makamou, Zanki was killed in an ambush by a pack of Bakeneko taking advantage while he left himself open for attack. Ibuki found his naked body and realized that Zanki was dead when he felt no pulse. Despite this, Zanki appeared in Todoroki's hospital room that night to comfort his student. Over the course of the next few days, Zanki helped Todoroki regain the ability to walk and finally transform again. In his last battle, Zanki was joined by Todoroki as the two battle a Kaengumo and pack of Bakeneko. At the end of this battle, Zanki and Todoroki cleansed the battlefield in Todoroki's style. As Todoroki bowed to his master, Zanki disappeared, his mission of seeing his greatest student become independent fulfilled, Zanki's soul could now rest in peace. [/HIDE] - Kinda shows that a bond like Sensei - Apprentice cannot be broken by death alone, and I believe this applies to that partnership between Shotaro and Philippe.

Oh well, makes for a good story though, as dying heroes often does. Which is very tear-jerking for me... :(
