Kamen Rider Decade rumor/picture thread

Well, it's confirmed that the main writer of Decade is Shou Aikawa (who was the replacement main writer of Blade and the main writer of Boukenger); it's not Blade's first writer, Shouji Imai, as previously posted. (I didn't buy that it was Imai, a drama writer with Blade as his first and only tokusatsu work, who had to quit halfway through because of his busy schedule).

It's also confirmed that Decade's suit actor is Seiji Takaiwa...

The second writer of Blade? Damn... this may be a bad ending, I'm sorry but Blade's ending to "ME" (DON'T FORGET THAT people, my opinion), was not great. But I'll give it a watch and hopefully he'll turn out something better, like how the writer of Ryuki surprised me with Den-O.

And Seiji is back in suit again... oh well, was hoping they'd give him a break and let Jiro take over for a series. Though possibly getting Kuuga's original suit actor back may have been the better way to go on that one, since he was the kickstart suit actor of Heisei Rider era. It would at least to me, seem more fitting for the Anniversary.

I am kind of tired of Seiji actually. He has too much personality, all the Riders he plays become "him" in a sense and makes the action scene seem somewhat out of place. Its not just that the actors don't have the personality and therefore its hard for it to seem like they are in suit but he's been using the same mannerisms IMO for Kiva, Kabuto, Faiz and even Den-o. I like Ito better, his style is more subtle and doesn't stand out as much as Seiji.

But seeing how Decade transform into the other Riders, Seiji is the perfect choice. He played 7 of them so why not the 8th.

I get what you mean, sometimes its hard to suspend your disbelief when the guy in the suit becomes a completely different person and doesn't work in any of the actors style into his own.

I think my favorite suit guy is the one who did BoukenRed/Go-On Red, because it seems like he's actually taken the time to get the mannerisms of the actor down and integrated them in with his own fighting style.

I like Ito better, his style is more subtle and doesn't stand out as much as Seiji.

I find Ito to be incredibly bland. I think he was only good as G3, just playing an ordinary dude.

Some of the suit actors -- and actor actors -- who care enough hang around each other to build a character, or are at least observant enough. Judging by most of his roles, I think Seiji just goes by what's on the page for the character instead. He created a better character for Faiz than Kento Handa did, that's for sure. There wasn't really much for him to work with with someone like Tendou. His reaction wasn't probably far off from "Cocky a-hole? Nailed it with Faiz, so I'll just do that again."

I was really impressed with Kenji Tominaga's work as Kuuga, but I'm glad he went out on a high note. Tominaga's a JAE member who mostly does face roles -- Kuuga was his first and last in-suit role.

As much as I like Takaiwa, I think Naoki Nagase would make a pretty cool main Rider. Nagase's been grossly underused.

Maybe the new Rider actor will have a personality more suitable for Seiju's suit work.

I love the personality. Faiz' wrist flourish during combat still sticks with me to this day. I also enjoy Kabuto's return to static pose after attack.

I agree that sometimes the Rider's have more personality than the actors themselves but I chalk that up to the fusion of two elements (Rider/Rider's power) being different than the Rider themselves.

Also, I think I prefer Makoto Ito to Jiro. Gattack, Chalice, and TheBee (Yaguruma style) were standout performances, and I ended up being surprised when I found out they were played by the same guy. I also loved the differences between Seiji and Ito when they played Kabuto and Gattack respectively. Kabuto was very reserved, while Gattack was almost unrestrained. Jiro is a bit too subtle for me. (Also is he larger than the other two, or is that just the suits they build for him?)

Decade's fighting style will be a mix of Faiz and Kabuto, so Seiji might do a good work.
