Kamen Rider Blade

This series was recommended to me by the members of this forum as I was told it had a cool ending having been a bit disapointed with the Kabuto and Faiz endings (despite loving the series' as a whole).

Thanks so much for the recommendation folks, just finished the last episode last night. Just the movie and hyper battle left now. I absolutely loved the series as I have all the kamen rider series Ive watched so far. The finale was the best bit.

As with all Kamen Rider that Ive seen so far, the cast was awesome and I really enjoyed with the characters (yes even Kotoro lol). Interesting idea that Kenzaki and Tachibana already have their rider systems at the start of the first episode. Kenzaki is the first 100% good/kind hearted main rider Ive seen which I thought was a nice touch. As I mentioned before, Ive only seen Kabuto and Faiz before this and both their main riders are more dark, moody characters.

It was not the ending I had expected but it certainly had the drama and excitement I felt that Kabuto and faiz lacked in the last episode.

[hide]It broke my heart though that kenzaki had to lose his humanity and leave to avoid fighting Hajame. Although I guess he achieved his goal to "protect EVERYONE" in the end whilst making the ultimate sacrifice. But glad they saved Tachibana and that Hajame was really a good guy in the end.[/hide]

Favourite characters have to be Kenzaki and Tachibana.

Yeah, blade was 1 of my fav series.... my onli dis was the fact that there were too little girls as supporting cast :P haha... its 2nd worse in this, worst is ryuki ( she looked erm, i guess not too good for lack of a better euphemism) U notice kuuga had like 2 cute girls, agito had 2, faiz had 2 -3, hibiki had those 2, n kabuto had plenty lolz...

If you like seeing a good hearted protag in Rider shows then I gladly direct you to Godai Yuuske in Kamen Rider Kuuga. You would probably like Agito as well. I might even be inclined to recommend Black which may seem like an odd choice since he is usually associated with being brooding and badass, which he totally is BUT I liked that he was a character who was not in brood mode 24/7. He could still laugh and smile when he was around Kasumi and Kyoko. But when Gorgom is messing with innocent people, it's on. I always liked that contrast with him.

Blade was the best!!
[hide]Aw, same here!! It broke my heart that Kenzaki had to lose his humanity & leave to never be seen again!! =( That's a fate worse than death if you ask me! & After that he could never die!! Not the ending I wanted. [hide] But the movie does make up for it!, Though I wanted everyone to live, the movie was awesome, & I would rather Hajime be sealed than anything bad happen to Kenzaki.[/hide] It broke my heart to see Tachibana die too!!! I was like "Nooooooo!" But then he came back later anyways!!! But bad part, right when he comes back & I get over that, Kenzaki becomes undead!!! =/ But the series was great & I loved it![/hide]

[hide] Actually I didnt mind Kenzaki becoming a joker, its him leaving in the end that made me sad. and about sealing Hajami, its not considered a perfect ending because that will leave the girl with a broken heart, but on the otherhand Kenzaki was the hero who wasn't attached to anyone really. so he can sacrifice himself alot easier than others. Its a shame TV Nihon have not got round to subbing Kuuga, Agito and Black just yet. Or rather, its more of a shame I cant understand japanese and need to rely on the subtitles lol. The things I could have watched by now if I could speak or at least understand the language :(

[hide]I didn't like that he wasn't human, but yeah him having to leave is the part that got me sad too. Yeah Amane would be heart broken & All, but Tachibana, Hirose, Mutsuki, & Kotarou would miss Kenzaki more than they would Hajime, & even Hajime seemed to miss Kenzaki. & Kenzaki is the main character, but usually the main character gets screwed if everyone doesn't have a happy ending. But with the movie we get both endings anyways, but I'd have rathered Kenzaki & Hajime both had a happy ending, but yeah didn't happen. In the series, I did not want Hajime to die, & especially toward the end Hajime was a real good character & he wanted to be human & Live among them so badly & I just did not want him to die, but then when Kenzaki became joker & had to go away that was more sad to me, but both are sad, but where I liked Kenzaki more, I preferred the ending in the movie.[/hide]

Agito has already been subbed by Cruel Angel and has been recently uploaded by BrownRanger here (Episodes can also be found on Veoh)

As for Kamen Rider Blade, it's nice to see people taking about it and liking it. Blade seems to be the New Gen Rider you don't see people talking much about, which is a shame. Out of the majority of the New Gen shows, it actually has the most consistent writing (for good or bad) and a rewarding storyline. It sticks to being a halfway decent superhero show and excels because of it, unlike other New Gen shows which focus too much on poorly done soap opera drama such as Faiz and (the undeserving) Agito. And considering the design theme revolved around a standard deck of playing cards, things turned out pretty well.

I think the only disappointment I had was that

[HIDE]Mutsuki wasn't freed from the category ace until so late into the series. I really liked his character once he was normal again. He was a pacifist, but he had good reason for it. He walked in the dark for so long that he only sought peace, both within himself and in the world around him. At the same time however, he knew he would still have to fight.

I guess I just wished that they could have done more with that, but so late in the series they were stuck with wrapping up the Joker/Hajime stuff.[/HIDE]

My favorite Kr series.

1. No doubt its Kabuto

2. Faiz its great and the movie was awesome.

3. Blade I didn't like the whole cards and stuff but it was very good.

4. Ryuki and once again the same I don't like the whole cards thing and also I wished there more riders with the survive forms.

5. Agito I think Gills is the coolest rider ever and I always wonder what a S.I.C. figure of his would be like and I know I would buy it.
