I was thinking this wouldn't be in relation to "real world time" and we'd see 46-50 episodes that take place on the span of those 99 days. It does sound interesting when put that way. I can definitely see the date and time appearing on-screen as each episode ends.
That's a possibility, but then Kamen Rider usually takes place in real time: e.g. they acknowledge Christmas, the characters dress according to the season's weather, and so on. It would seem strange to throw that off (although Shirakura has already stated publicly that Toei will handle next year's summer movie differently because of complaints, so perhaps it needn't be set in summer ...)
They surely have a lot of money to produce 5-6 films every year. I've always wondered what it would be like if they concentrated all of that on just releasing ONE Rider and ONE Sentai movie a year and see how they look thanks to that high budget. They certainly have more money now than they used to when they did do this approach.
Eh. Which approach sells the most cinema tickets? A bunch of cheap movies that nevertheless all make the top 10 of the Japanese box office, or one more expensive one aimed at the exact same audience?

They normally do, though didn't someone work out that the entire second half of Gaim could take place in just three or four weeks?
Kobayashi's most recent series (although admitedly anime episodes tend to get written a year before broadcast so she has probably done other stuff in the meantime) was 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders', where the main premise is that Jotaro and his grandfather have 50 days to find and kill Dio in order to prevent the death of Jotaro's mother. Granted, that was a manga adaptation rather than Kobayashi's own idea, but she does love to re-use her tropes so I can't help but wonder...
What? Japan has been in and out of a recession for several years now. And Toei doesn't have "lots and lots of money". They have money, but they can't just not try to budget everything. They're a company, their bottom line matters. Besides, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are actually two of the most expensive shows they produce.
But they could be a bit more discerning in what they decide to spend money on. For instance, what went into that "gravure model" video of Wizard (in-costume no less) could've gone into something more useful.

It's not unheard of, Kiva switched back to 1986 and Agito had a massive time skip (what was it? 6 months?) at a very unexpected moment. It's still rare, of course, that's why it sounds like such an interesting premise.

I was about to make that exact same comment xD
That one actually seems plausible, since he's definitely a big enough historical figure. if there does end up being a scientist based form, I reckon it'd either be him or Newton. Though Newton soul would have an apple for a face...
