I think the main problem with Chan & the US film industry is that he's a very headstrong actor. He comes up with a lot of original stuff and he's very rarely allowed to do his own choreography, which is always better when he does it himself.

Also, just because of his fame, every timme he gets a high end gig here, producers & studios begin trying to force a billion random ideas on him without understanding his acting style or, really, the intended project.

Given that, I also hear that people try to ask him to do things he doesn't understand and, vice versa, he constantly wants to do things the directors/ producers don't understand.

I'm starting to think Jackie Chan might not even want to do Hollywood films anymore. He always gets typed-cast and I'm sick of seeing that with Asian actors in American projects. I think Jet Li might not want to comeback too. Most of their best movies are mostly made in China.
