Is Toei giving Ryu Terui the Nago treatment?

I've noticed recently that Terui has been acting rather strange... I have to admit that I really hated his attitude when he made his debut, engulfed in the flames of revenge which is pretty much making him such an eye-sore before.

But right before Weather's defeat, we got to see a Terui in a new light. The nice and compassionate brother who cares about people now rather than the "shoot-on-sight" he initially believed in. It was a pleasant change of personality for Ryu Terui... But now, he's pretty much being a comical side-character same as what happened to Nago when he lost IXA.

I initially liked the change of character, but it pretty much stepped over the line now, to a point where they made him act like a homo and try to kiss Shotaro. I've been pretty much teasing it before, but making a serious character like Terui purely comical now feels like a waste of potential.

Yes there still might be a chance for Terui to prove himself once Cyclone-Accel-Xtreme debuts if it is indeed true, though some rumors suggest that Shotaro will be the Accel user since Terui will be comatose.

What are your thoughts?

And BTW, I'm also wondering why they made all the Trial Accel speed boost scenes just be in fast-forward instead of how they did it with Alternative Zero's Accelle Vent, Blade's Mach Jaguar, Axel Faiz's 10-second boost, and Kabuto Rider's Clock Up where only the Riders were fast and everything in the surrounding is slow. Since it was really silly seeing Trial Accel, Tooru, and Aki-P in Episode 40 walk very fast before Claydoll X's final attack. Kamen Rider Accel suffered budget-cuts perhaps? :redface2:

I think it's just a problem of lack of focus. Even before Weather was defeated, it had been a long time since Terui had done anything right. Now, he lighted up a bit... and still continues to fail.

It's a shame, really, I think his entrance really improved Double, and it'd have been a better show overall if it had given more focus to him.

Huh? Out of those, only Clock Up actually did that often. Accel did it once in Faiz itself, I think (Twice counting Decade), and the others were always just speed, without slowing down anything.

Granted Terui's only acted silly in 2 episodes during the Gene arc.

Huh? Out of those, only Clock Up actually did that often. Accel did it once in Faiz itself, I think (Twice counting Decade), and the others were always just speed, without slowing down anything.

Point was, they executed it in such a way that only the Riders seem fast-moving while whatever they attacked (when Alternative Zero was attacking Ryuki and when Blade was attacking worms) be in normal time.

Might not be much, but it's obvious the shot of Alternative Zero attacking Ryuki using Accele Vent is separate when compared to Trial Accel's fast forward scenes wherein it is just 1 shot played fast.

In Trial Accel's case, you can rewatch the part where Terui picks-up Tooru and Akiko.

Yeah, hopefully they stay clear of what happened in the Gene Dopant arc in the upcoming episodes.

At least there's some reason for it happening here, it wasn't as gradual as I would have liked, but I think what we're seeing is Terui as he would have normally been before the whole deal with Isaka.

In the last arc, this was the same assumption that I made that they're possibly gonna "Nago" him.

Although if you've watched Episode 41 (RAW and/or W-Time subs), they have reeled Terui back in to his "calm and composed" personality again.........even though he rarely did anything besides attack Level 3 Nazca as Accel Trial.

So at this point, it's anything goes for Terui......it seems the W writing team knew when the pull the reigns on his personality without killing his character completely.

Yeah, I really hope it's back to the calm Terui for good now, since that whole Gene Dopant arc had sooo much plot-holes for me. I kinda felt that whole episode was just forced and it just so happens they decided to pull one on Terui.

^I think by "plot holes" he meant "suck".
Trail's speed is just different than the others. Kabuto was the fastest and it made everything else seem slow while Faiz was the same as Kabuto we just didn't see him. Alternative kind of used his speed in short burst so it looks different compared to Accel and Diend who run around through out the an entire fight. Other than Kabuto and Faiz I wonder who the fastest Rider really is? I think Accel moves a bit faster than Diend but I'm not sure about Alternative.
