Is the Toku industry in the Philippines getting weak?

well there you go. if hero's airing 3 toku shows everyday [PR included] then that's the most toku that's the phil viewers have EVER seen. add that to tv5's kr mon-fri and gma's ultraman nexus sat-sun mornings. repetitive or not, even back in the 90's, the toku aired was only the same episodes shown over and over at random so there really wasnt much difference. and now we are seeing more toku toys and merchandise than there ever was in the 90's so i honestly think the fans are better off today. i think those who disagree with this are just the ones who insist on having the really old toku back.

To be honest Exceedraft is kinda lame that's why maybe ABS-CBN 2 and GMA 7 never bother acquiring it....Then again i wish this time Hero TV would acquire this toku at least this could make thier toku block not that too repetitive(BTW they're planning to air Ultraman,Ultraman Ace,Magma Man and Koseidon,Ultraman Gaia and tagalized Power Rangers Mystic Force next year on thier toku block but its still not yet been finalized)...

Oh i see Hero TV's toku block on weekday nights at weekend mornings is so far the biggest and broadest lineup(i've noticed that CN Phils also recently aired some reruns of Sazer X,Ryukendo and Power Mystic Force on weeknights also,hmm....)..I agree and amen on what you've said...:laugh:

BTW let's hope we'll see Tomica Rescue Heroes,Ultraman Mebius and some newer KR show next year whether its on CN,Hero TV or local free TV..:laugh:

happy new year guys.

you know, i've never approved of tagalizing shows that are ALREADY in english. even if the tagalized spongebob on tv5 has very similar voices to the original, i really dont see the point since we're supposed to be able to understand english so well in the philippines. having said that, if PR was retained in english, perhaps sentai would have a different market if it was tagalized and both could be aired without getting rid or avoiding either one.

this shows you how ignorant i am about the ultra series. i didnt know max came AFTER nexus :laugh: maybe it's coz nexus looks newer to me. but it also means that if ABSCBN can get a series newer than nexus, then they can DEFINITELY get mebius. also, the fact that they also acquired 4 of them all at once means nobody is fighting them over it. they can get as many ultra series as they want...

Actually Nexus is kinda dark which it wasn't that popular to some but the likes of Cosmos and Max are typical like those shows like Tiga and Dyna...But i still prefer Mebius cause some of the old actors from previous Ultra shows are here(Susumu"Dr Kuromatsu from KR Black" Kurobe and Koji"Tenouji of KR Blade" Moritsugu will appear in this series...):laugh: Heck if ABS-CBN skipped this one well they're a bunch of idiots...:laugh:

Hope they air this on ABS before on Hero... I heard it's great. and so is the 8 ultra brothers movie, which Mebius is in.

Actually i like it a bit(like the weapons and SFX are much better than those used in Super Sentai series) but not that much,this show reminds me of those short Ultraseven series(Neos,21 and X)...:laugh:

I think Hero TV should also try airing one of Tsuburaya Productions hidded gems which Gridman here which is we all used as a basis for the US TV series Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad..:buttrock:

BTW still watching KR Blade(oh my little niece wanted a KR Blade toy!!):laugh:

justirisers will replace gransazers on the sat-sun toku block when gransazers ends on jan 10.

i've also been hearing some informal talk that TSP will be having its own internet TV site where the shows they own [and dubbed] will be viewable. Obviously it won't be free, but if they're going to throw in all their titles, maybe the old sentai/toku will be in there as well.

sir, I agree with you. Since Power Rangers are in ENGLISH why would they need to dub it? Look, Power Ranger's greatest Ranger Tommy (PRDT) now sounded like a playboy slacker if not with his prowse and his moves. And the other rangers were all sounding awful. and some lip sych were of the scene.
