Ugh. This is a pretty terrible idea. Not that I am anywhere close to trusting the ISPs to do the responsible thing, but can you fucking imagine what would happen if such a law was around when the Bush Administration had the run of the country? This sort of **** needs to get denied - and hard - in case we have another C student president being run by his evil puppetmaster.

....So Lieberman is the man behind this proposal, how the **** am I not surprised?
This is the same guy that helped created laws that are all "censoredship base" in every form. From the "Communications Decency Act" to the "Family Entertainment Protection Act," Lieberman has made it his mission to make sure the government has full regulation of the mass media in general.
The fact that he's proposing this "kill switch" executive power just further reinforces the fact that he wants to take full control of "mass media entertainment." Too bad he ain't president, then he'd pull executive orders out of his ass to censor everything in TVs, Mags, Newspapers, and of course the Internet

Which is still the vast majority of the internet. Well over half of the entire internet is based in the USA.
Sad fact is also, where the US goes with their net rules, it affects ALL other countries in some fashion that use the internet.
