I'm Really sick of Tendou and Tsukasa Hate

despite that, the thing is that Tendo is the title character, Kabuto, and so he technically is the main character, and for all the reason's I stated, he's a character who I personally can't get behind, and it's why I, in all likelyhood, will probably never watch the Kamen Rider Kabuto series. while you may see some of this stuff as funny, and if that was intended, I wouldn't have such a problem, but from all the story clips and fight scenes I've seen, those aspects were taken very seriously within the series.

Don't take this the wrong way, cuz I'm not trying to insult/invalidate you but you won't get what I'm talking about until you experience it in context. The series has us following Tendou, but I promise all the qualities you're wanting in your protagonist are in the real protagonist; KAGAMI! Now go watch Kabuto and we can continue our discussion. lol :anime:

Was it ever officially stated that Shadow Moon is not a Rider? Because the way I've been seeing it, he IS a Rider. An evil Rider that stays evil to the bitter end,

I always found Tsukasa to be a lot more heroic than people give him credit for. He was staright out told in the first episode to go and kill all the AU riders (by the original Wataru, no less!). He instead decided to go through the worlds trying to fix the problems and save the worlds without murdering nine other Riders. That's pretty heroic to me.

Of course he ended up killing a lot more riders than that but he followed it up by letting Kivala kill him, with no expectations of coming back himself, in order to restore everyone that was killed by the worlds merging.

You have a point there, although I think that's one of the things that made Decade confusing.

Its not me that is saying that, its the fact that there are heaps of characters that prove that statement false. I'm just pointing out the obvious flaw in making a statement like "All Kamen Riders have to be Good Guys", even if there was only one evil rider, he alone would make that statement untrue. it doesn't matter what someones opinion on the matter is because as far as the question "Can Kamen Riders be Evil?" is concerned, we already have a very definitive "Yes." for an answer because of characters like Kamen Rider Ouja and the like. This isn't truly a matter of opinion, there are many Kamen Riders who are bad guys; Fact.

I don't consider 'Evil Kamen Riders' to be actual Kamen Riders, and neither did the writers of 'Kamen Rider W.' Just having the helmet and powers doesn't just make you one. I don't consider Shadowmoon a Kamen Rider, but V3 proclaimed at the end of his series that Riderman was Rider #4 after sacrificing himself to save Japan. Why? Because he earned it, not because he had a Rider Kick.

Crisis kidnapped some civilians to draw out RX, whom Shadowmoon was waiting for to fight. However, right before his death, Shadowmoon saved the hostages, revealing that Kotaro's brother's spirit was still in there.

I read, but that still doesn't change the fact that what you consider to be a kamen rider is irrelevant. its not your decision to make, it Toei calls a character a Kamen Rider, thats it. They're the ones calling the shots and sure you're example WAS valid, but there is new evidence that shows otherwise so it doesn't matter if you don't think they count, or that a Kamen Rider has to earn the title because thats not true anymore due to the existence of riders like Ouja.

Again, you didn't read. The WRITERS of "Kamen Rider W" site the idea that the name is only true for the heroic. It's entirely opinion-based on what makes a true Kamen Rider, not fact.

no, just no. I have had this opinion for so long, I absolutely despise Tendo as a character, and I'm just not going to watch Kabuto. call me stubborn, but I don't care. I've said my piece, and that's all I really came to this thread to do

so yeah, I'm done here. to me, Tendo is the worst main rider ever in terms of character, and to me he has way too many negative qualities to warrant me watching the series

A being is only labelled Kamen Rider because Toei allows it as such. Story-wise, it is probably to prove a point that there are those that tarnish the name, but you do have to remember that the reason there's evil Kamen Riders is like why Superheroes have Rouge Galleries. Batman's Rouges are like a reflection of him, like Penguin if he used his finances in the wrong way, like the Joker if he lets chaos run his act, like Two-Face if he gave up his sense of responsibilities.

Merchandising wise, call it whatever you want. It's only a Kamen Rider if it lives up to YOUR standard, pretty much. You're watching it for you, and I find that the one thing people tend to forget. Fourze's design turned me so off that I hated the fact they even thought of making a Rider look like that. So I didn't even bother continuing it.
