I like Kamen Rider Kiva, But....

I always thought Kiva's logo was the Fangire ruling family crest or some such.

No, it was different because Terui learned to find another goal in life before he killed Isaka, and it was his persistence drawn from that newfound purpose that gave him the strength to allow him to pull off Trial's Maximum Drive.

They never had that extra step to make. Neither of them were as hate-filled as Terui was. They were driven. But unlike Terui, their entire lives weren't consumed by the need to kill Rook. It was only when they were facing him down that they got angry.

Friend, you've said you dislike Asian TV in more than one post. Tone down the Xenophobia, please?

...What is Xenophobia? Anyway, I don't entirely dislike Asian TV, it's just most of is too off the wall for my tastes- to be honest, TV everywhere is starting to go down to tube- 90% of the **** in America is crappy reality TV & whatever's left is seriously lacking in plot or interesting characters...

This past year, all I had to watch was basically Jay Leno on Monday, Ghost-hunting shows on Tuesday & Friday & Legend of the Seeker on Saturday. I literally spent more time reading the TV guide than actually watching TV...:redface2:

I think while the show was airing someone once posted that the Saga armor was meant to be some training gear for the prince, from one of the magazine scans, but that information was never given in the show.

That would actually make sense, considering one of a prince's training involves fencing in which the Jacorder comes to mind. Too bad it was never expounded... Damn Inoue...

Nope, those worked since the logo that appears is only in the air, but in Kiva's case... It's on the freaking wall or floor... :redface2:
I actually found Faiz's logos in the air kinda random. Kiva's was badass in my opinion, until they took it too far with Dark Kiva's finisher that drags people around like puppets and Saga's hanging through a Kiva logo thing. Total "what the heck?" moment for me. Saga should had stick with just stabbing. Would had been awesome if pulled off nicely.

I actually won't mind a Punching-based Rider. Rider Punches please! Too bad IXA was a Paladin based Rider. They should had just gone without using "fist on" and "IXA Knuckles" since it doesn't make sense already. I haven't watched Kabuto so don't talk to me about Punch-Hopper. I don't like him already. :D

Faiz, Kaixa, and Delta's logo weren't that cheesy since they were faint and the made sense considering their theme is digital... And their logos were fairly normal, when compared to Kiva's extravagant design which marks the floor and nobody notices it the day after.

Hm, I can see how digital is related for Faiz's Rider Kicks, especially the part where they go through the portal thingy, I always saw it as a pathway that change them into nanosize and destroy the enemy from within or something to Biorider's effects. Still, never fancied those logos, they weren't very cheesy and neither were they very eye catching, but still felt pretty out of place for me. To make script writing easier, they should had just stick to Kiva's mark disappearing after the Rider Kick and not make a hole on the ground. Too bad they had to tried being fancy with it and failling. Wasn't that idea abandoned anyways? Or was Emperor form's spam that much that I forgot the base Kiva form had used his finisher more than twice? =/

I think yeah, since we did have Emperor Form Spam, the logo thing was just used as blades when he does his round-house kick or the drop kick, which worked for me.

I thought that was actually pretty damn awesome. XD Emperor form and Dark Kiva are definitely one of the few things that let me struggle through the whole series for the finale that didn't really satisfies me. Too bad Dark Kiva doesn't use the same finisher as Emperor. The roundhouse kick was good and all, but it gets a bit silly when the blades start spinning and drilling. Not my idea of what a fierce vampire-based Rider would be like. XD

1) The Checkmate Four-Not the members themselves, they were cool characters. Its just that it felt like it had no real hierarchy among them. I mean, besides King and Queen, what purpose do Bishop and Rook do. And what happened to the Knight chesspiece. They couldn't have made that the King's bodyguard.

5) All of the Time-travel crap: Was it really nessesary? We had just been through a series that involved time-travel. And it really seems out of place in this Monster Movie/Music/Chess themed series.

8) People being surprised that Wataru is Kiva: Lets see, the Fangire Hunters were there when Otoya became the new Kiva. You also would think that Yuri would tell that info to the others.

1) Yeah, never got exactly why Knight never existed. I guess it was implied or something that maybe he had died in the line of duty

5) For Nago, yeah, it was pointless. But for Wataru, no, it was very VERY important to the story. It puts everything in perspective and creates quite the mindfuck

8) *MAJOR SPOILERS*
[hide] Well I guess you can calk it up to the Clark Kent/Superman effect and Otoya fucking died after becoming Dark Kiva for the third time and Yuri still loved him even after Maya stole him away from her. I think she still had loyalty in her heart for him enough not to tell anyone[/hide]

Okay. If the '86 Fangire King's true form was a bat, and the Queen's was an oyster, how do they have a son's Fangire form based on a cobra or viper?
