How do you feel about Power Ranger's cancellation?

yes they did. it made the fact that Sentai is PR (instead of PR = Sentai) actually broke the meaning of Super Sentai in countries where sentai was previously aired and where PR is airing. it left a bad scar on children influenced on the franchise and they immediately think that sentai (any sentai) is Power Rangers, when the truth is it isn't.

here's an example:

common response for non-sentai folk: "Isn't that power rangers?"

People say that simply because that's what they see. They know Power Rangers and if Liveman appears then they would say the samething since 87% percent of non-sentai folk DON'T KNOW WHAT SENTAI IS.

If you educate them then they would know better but It's their choice to listen to your word or continue to call it a bootleg Power Rangers.

I wouldn't celebrate the ending of a show that got this American Toku fandom started because everyone here got introduced to Sentai through Power Rangers or any other Adaption by Saban.

You boycotting a show won't make a different, it only makes you look foolish to punish something that people simply associate *looks around for Dr. K* with spandex. It's common math.

We all expect those type comments. Of course they are some igorant people that would blatantly see the different but continue to call it that. Example: Bentaboard would rather cry and bitch about the online fandom with PR ending than rather watch Sentai and Kamen Rider.

"Sentai is too goofy" "it's silly", yet you trash the show that PR was made from. Those comments are simply inexcusable.

I honestly, don't see Shinkenger being adapted in the near future. But I'm puzzled that Disney isn't announcing it's closure with PR at all. Sad to see it go when it's actually getting GOOD.

On the bright side, some of us won't have to bitch about how PR murdered the Sentai footage. Now we have KRDK with us for now and if that does well enough for future adaptations (Blade, Faiz, etc), imagine the activity that RB had for PR, this board would be flying high and low with discussions and speculations. Again, depends on DK's succession.

Then of course, we have our Toku stash and I got DB Kai to look forward to, so it's all good. Let's hope Judd gives PR and strong finish. Better to die now before Shinkenger.

True but don't forget that this is fan-made, so we can use the Shinkenger toys as the weapons and we can always buy the Shinkenger costumes, atleast the Ranger suits. And just to let you know of this:-

I'm not sure if you heard of it but there's a Tokusatsu website in Asia, based in my home country Singapore, called TokuAsia. They also have their own film production company that makes fan-made Tokusatsu movie called TokuAsia Productions. They have managed to make an "Singapore version" of Dekaranger simply titled DEKARANGER (the title is spelled like that), all without costumes and with toys and footage from Dekaranger and making their own scenes and fandubbing the Dekaranger footage, and they didn't get in trouble with Toei at all. So if they can do that, I'm positive that we can also do this, maybe not like on TV but close enough.

And like I had said, I meant adapting Shinkenger as a FAN SERIES (note that I'm stressing these 2 words). And I don't think Disney will even bother about this matter at all, considering that they're the ones who are destroying Power Rangers forever. But, in a way, at some point Power Rangers will end someday, I just think it's not time for it to leave just yet. And about what you said on having hard work to adapt it for the fans, if those dudes at TokuAsia can create their fan-made Dekaranger series, then we're no different.

Power Rangers will be Power Rangers, I personally think instead of trying to harp on one series or thinking of Fan-Made adaptions, we should look forward and look at making an American Toku, something that embodies the elements and concepts of Super Sentai. If China, Korea and Thailand can do it, why can't we?

**** the critics if they think "It's a Power Rangers Ripoff". Back when I was born "Teenagers with Attitude was the ****", now PR has past it's prime and I think a whole new show with the same team concept should represent the current era we are in terms of AmeriToku. Like what KRDK is doing, the difference is that It's not a team concept and very different.

KRDK has been decidedly underwhelming and I'd be really surprised if it survives to return next year.

Its got the opposite problem of PR, its too close to KR and simply lacks soul/spirit, etc....

Part of the problem was Ryuki was a poor choice to adapt first. That was more about merchandise then story which should have sent off warning bells.
