The Candorids have proven useful in battle so far. Similar to that of the Animal Discs yet I don't remember fans hating on the discs as much.

The Discs weren't inherently stupid. But they were rather useless in battle themselves, except in the movie.

I kinda hated the Animal Discs design-wise and they had really lazy transformations, but I was willing to give them a chance since I thought they might tie in with Hibiki's sound & music themes in some interesting, specific way. Hibiki's story ended up cornholed by production problems, though, so who knows what was intended for them?
I don't care if something is useful in battle, personally. Any stupid gimmick can be "useful in battle" if the writer and director care to make it so. I care about whether or not the addition makes any sense on a story or concept level, basically if it feels like it needs to be there. I also like them to be a design that makes some sense and isn't noticeably lazy. If they're obviously toys, I want to see why some kid would want them.
With the Candroids, it's just... so easy to imagine them not being in OOO at all. Nothing terribly substantial about the storyline or the show's feel would be different if they were gone. If anything, the fights would be better because they'd have to show OOO winning them without outside assistance. That in turn would reinforce OOO's gimmicks and the show's core themes better.

Sure but then there would be Vending Machines with nothing coming out of them. I think it's a fun gimmick to have in the series and that some of you fans take **** WAY too seriously and expect WAYYYYY too much. Even from the reply alone that you gave me it shows me that you may have forgotten the target audience of this television show. I can't see kids in Japan not loving these Candroids.
But within 3 of ur last posts you've managed to dump on OOO, Kiva, and even Blade. Is there any series you actually like or are you one of those Black Fang type characters that insists on reading so heavily into this stuff thus sucking the fun out of it {it would suck the fun out of it for me if I were like that, maybe not for you}. This is not any kind of attack, just a question.
