How can anyone dislike the Candroids?

Thanks for the info. So technically, those vendo bikes have all of those dead weight inside it in the form of Tako brand energy drinks?

Maybe the octopus cans float while the machine is in bike form, thus nullifying the weight issue?

... wait, that doesn't work either. Didn't Mythbusters do that problem once? Pigeons in a truck?

Yeah, Mythbusters did that.

Well, candroids are silly, but I accept them since everything can happen in a show like this, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's silly.

Which begs the question, what's the logical reason to having all of those vending machines scattered all over the city? I doubt it's to quench everyone's thirst. If it's for the purpose of having an easy access to weaponized animal helpers, then why not just have something that doesn't resemble anything with a purpose far from whatever that object was designed for? Why not just make portable weapon lockers which when opened releases animal helpers that when folded, looks far from something used for a drink. If it's to disguise those weapon dispensers, then if some normal dude drops a coin in it and expects a cold can of Pepsi, then what would happen?

We're not thinking about it too much, in fact, it doesn't even take much brain activity to realized how "silly" the concept is. I'm not saying it's bad, all I'm saying is that it's "silly".

I don't mean to sound offensive in any way, but it kills me every time you guys talk about logical sense in Kamen Rider.

Here's the deal: Things used to make **** loads of sense. Now, they don't. We have Den-O to thanks for all that craziness.

Besides, what do you EXPECT from a kid's show? An ENTIRE explanation on how the Zecters were made and how to actually make them? I mean if I were watching that AS A KID, I'd be bored as **** seeing them telling us what kind of metal to use and all.

Errr... Read post above yours.

Don't worry, I get your point. Something that's silly will always be silly. I don't like it, but I accept it as part of a show like KR... And yeah, KR has been very nonsensical in recent years.

I'm just joking around. I don't like the Candroids but it's not on any kind of SHOULD CONFORM TO REAL LIFE PHYSICS RARRR level.

I just like the idea of KR Mythbusters, is all. :(

So they don't have to shoot scenes where Eiji has to go get his bike or have someone deliver his bike to him. On that level, the Ride Vendors are kind of clever. They basically serve RevolGarry's function.

As for "why they aren't portable weapon lockers," it really all just comes down to motif. The one area where OOO's themes are really unified is when it comes to treating OOOs as kind of a metaphor for Japanese consumer culture.

Seeing OOOs literally buying weapons from a vending machine reinforces that in a way that OOOs using very realistic weapons delivered in realistic ways wouldn't. In fact, the realism would be highly inappropriate and tone-breaking.

OOOs is the kind of superhero that runs on dream logic.

I'd say it was contrasted to great effect in the first episode with some serious looking dudes sporting serious hardware go up to a row of vending machines...and turn them into motorcycles. "Happy Birthday" was just icing.

Maybe the RideVendors act like Star Trek replicators and MAKE the Candroids by draining the Cell Medal of energy!

Considering one Cell Medal produced enough Takocan to create that huge ramp then you realize why Kougami is amaze at the power of human greed.
