Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger - Talk Up!

this show is epic... way beyond the cheesiness of the "official sentai"... the show is kinda stupid yet intelligent enough to play this kind of themes...

just when the show got serious, suddenly it became realistically even more serious... i was like in awe when they suddenly did those scenes in almost "official" manner... then akagi discovered the hidden plot and the show just went into another level...:buttrock:

i would really love to hopefully see a new season for this show, if not another show in this kind of manner...

Really enjoyed episodes 10 and 11. I like the Akibarangers more with Takuma as AkibaRed -- feels so much more official and enjoyable for me. Loved all the Gekiranger references since it's one of my favorite Sentai. :buttrock:

Best of all, finally, a proper (badass) roll call without screw-ups. I know the point of this show is a parody but I prefer serious stuff in general which is why it was hard for me to get into this show in the first place. I forced myself to watch it and finally got into it when things picked up.

Do you even understand the point of Akibranger?

How exactly do the Akibarangers plan on stopping the producers? It's a cool idea, but that's almost like trying to change the laws of physics. Well...they have kinda already done that, haven't they?

I think they fought that Drill Monster in the same place where Axe Form Den-O finished off the Wolf Imagin. That structure in the center made the image come to mind.

Sooooomebody is missing the whole point of the show.

Im so sorry you had to struggle to get into it.

I wonder if Keith feels the same way.

"Yeah Akiba was OK, I wish it was more serious though. Serious villains, steaks STAKES, LIVES...ON...THE...LINE!!!"

Mmmmm...steaks

Apparently, the director had a movie out called "Salvage Mice" and the kana for 'surge' are contained within the ones for 'salvage' so yeah....

Thanks for the tip. I see now how I couldve missed that.

I am not an idiot. I know exactly what the point of the show is supposed to be. I even said I was aware it was a parody in the initial post. Never did I say I wished it was "more serious" so get off your bloody pedestal and stop putting words in my mouth.

Never did I say I hated the show nor that I "struggled" through it. Comedies take time for me to get into due to my personal preferences but I can appreciate comedy when in the mood. It was due to it momentarily deviating from what it was supposed to be into what I normally enjoy, that I got into it and was actually eager for the following episodes. As for the roll call, I was simply glad to finally see a perfect roll call be done. They can go back to screwing it up again for all I care. I just wanted to see it done properly for once and I did.

No one's putting words in your mouth. You actually watched the show and had a problem with the fact that they didn't take anything seriously. And you praise the show when it finally does a traditional roll call without the usual flubs.

You seriously forced yourself to sit through a show you couldn't even get into? What kind of sense does any of that make? What did you plan on gaining from that? Do you some project or something that involves watching the show all the way?

No one's putting words in your mouth, this is exactly what you said. Or did you just forget?
