Has anyone ever experinced racism?

Either directly or indirectly? Felt displaced by the social environment, like you and your friend are the only black or white folks at a social event or like school?

The reason I'm asking this is because I believe that I am right now. Because well I've work at this video store for almost 7 years now. And lately we've been struggling and because of this our labor has been cut. My boss being a jackass gives every one else hours and me nothing. Not even one day.

If we manage to get more labor he just gives all the hours to someone else instead. He'll give everyone else who works there five days and none for me at all. Even when somebody goes on vacation I can't get any. I haven't worked in almost two months now because of his selfishness. Just tonight I find out he's going on vacation and what you know? Other people get all the hours and I get nada. I'm so pissed off right now I can't even speak. When I ask him about why I can't get any he has an excuse each time.

And get this I'm the only black person that works there. So I find it a little funny that I'm the only one who gets the shaft. Hell I have more seniority than some of the other people there.

I'm Filipino...yet...

I was called a "Chink" and a "Wetback" on various occassions...the ironic thing is the parties responsible were black.:sly:

...in the back of my mind...I can only think of one thing...

"OXYMORON":sly:

Mostly because of being hispanic and quiet, I got picked on twice

9/11- Someone with same skin tone as mine kept calling me a name that later I figred out was an actual name of a terrorist( Something like "Kadalfe"

When Virginia Tech happened, everyone was playing like I was gonna be the next kid to go on a shooting rampage, though they did that in a jokingly kind of way.

My brother has actual dealings with racism from being gay. Going to the local schools he is constantly reminded that he a faggot. His high school gave him peace though.

I've actually been though some minor cases of implicit racism. But then again, when you're a 6'3 young black guy who is taller than a lot people, people automatic look at you differently anyway.

One time I temporaily worked at some warehouse and all the workers were black and I felt really displaced. You know, being the only asian guy there. I find it funny that the supervisors were white as well.
