By all accounts... no. It's for people that like HALO. And not the best RTS.... word is it plays more like Diabalo than any badass RTS.

I'd say yes. I'm not a huge FPS fan so i never got really into Halo, outside of the story. I am however a huge RTS fan. The game feels somewhat dumbed down to accommodate the console. I'd put it less on the RTS line of Warcraft/Starcraft where you spend time and units to gather materials, and more along the lines of Warhammer where it's pretty much all about securing strategic points and holding them so you can spawn your units closer to your enemies. Plus lets face it. It's Ensemble, they've been doing this for over 10 years now, and, to me at least, it was interesting to see how they were going to tackle their first non 'Age of'. I'd say it's an interesting change for regular RTS fans, and a good entry point to the genre for people who have never played them.

Nop not really. Well actually it depends on the type of RTS's you like.

Well I got the game Friday and just opened it up and played it today. I LOVE IT! I didn't want to play it because when I think of Halo, I think of first player. This RTS games, I never played them. I played the Demo, and I got bored. But I ended up buying it because I had it reserved and put $20 down on it awhile ago. So I decided to play it. I played the first part which was the Demo. Beat it, then played the second part, and the third, and stopped at the fourth. Two and half hours later, I was in love. THe game got so much better than I thought. The bases, the spartans, THE GRAPHICS! Oh I love RTS games now. Its just so much fun. And intense. Man, Halo Wars=Badass :thumbs:
